Game finishing weekend |
Hard to believe, but I finished two games this past weekend. The first being Assassin's Creed. Overall I thought it was a pretty good game. I thought the graphics were amazing and the combat was pretty good. Climbing up to the view points and seeing the 360 degree view of the city (with no pop-in) was always a treat. My only complaints with the game would be the some of the voice acting and the repetitiveness. Oh, and I think if someone comes up to me in real life now and asking for "a few coins" I might just hit them in the face.
![]() Recommendation: Rent The second game I finished was The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass on the DS. When I first heard about the game I wasn't sure about using the stylus for controls, but as soon as I started playing the game I discovered how easy it was to control. I also like the Zelda games that don't follow the "Link saves Hyrule and Zelda from Gannon" formula. Recommendation: Buy... |

Why can't I swim??? |
So, I'm playing Assassin's Creed last night and I'm running through one of the cities (I think it was Damascus) and I see a flag on a pilar in the middle of a fountain. Now, I'm not on a quest to find all these flags, but I'll grab one if I see it nearby. Well, I jump for the flag and miss, falling down into the fountain and die.
Why can't my badass assassin who can dispatch a group of armed guards, stealthly kill targets, leap from rooftops, and scale to the top of the tallest buildings not swim? If nothing else give me some way of getting out of the water. It really irritates me when my character in a game touches water and immediatly bites it. I was very glad when they added the ability to swim in the GTA series. I just think this is one thing in games that needs to be done away with. |

Win a free Xbox360/PS3/Wii...really? |
So, I see these things all the time about just sign up for these deals and Mr. X or whoever will send you a free Xbox360/PS3/Wii system. I've always wanted to try it out, but I don't want to get stuck with subscription to Columbia House or anything like that. I figured this would be a good way to reach out to my fellow CAGs to see if anyone had ever tried this and if the deal actually works.

360 Waggle Wand |
So, there is a new Banjo video on IGN that hints once again to waggle control coming to the 360. What I want to know is if any of you CAGs out there are at all interested in this feature coming to the 360. As I mentioned in my previous post I don't have a PS3 so I don't know what Sixaxis control is like. I have a Wii and I enjoy the control scheme, but I like my 360 because of the great controller. Let me know what you think about the "360 Waggle Wand".

Bass Ackwards |
So I finally got a Wii game that I can play online, Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I have heard all the horrible stories about the friend codes, and now I know what they were talking about. Is there any way that Nintendo can fix their online service to make it more appealing? Because right now it is bass ackwards.

I think I have a problem |
Hello, my name is ObiBen, and I'm addicted to video game deals. I found Cheap Ass Gamer when a friend referred me to the CAGcast. Now I start every morning with a visit to CAG to see what the latest game deals are. I realized I had a problem when I saw the deal for MGS4 at Meijer for $40. I seriously considered picking it up....and I don't even have a Playstation 3. I think I have a problem.
