Just received the new Scene It? from Wombat yesterday. (Thanks Wombat!) I will answer your call Cheapy. I may lose, but you'll have to suffer through drunken hilarity the entire time.

In Cheapy's latest round of benevolence, I won the newest version of Scene It. Very exciting, the wife and I get drunk all the time and battle it out with a bunch of our friends on the first version. Let's see if I can get drunk and serve up some sweet embarrassment with Cheapy. THAT would be some awesome good times. Thanks Cheapy!

PS3 Giveaway.

So since I tend to be lucky I try to enter all the contests I can find. Here's a new one kids:
http://www.weekinrewind.com/2008/09/...station-3.html The film critic that runs the site basically serves up the answers to you. You roll through a section of reviews until you find the red "Playstation 3" tag at the end then email the movie name to him. You have to sign up for the newsletter first, but it's pretty unobtrusive and he runs DVD contests all the time. Runs until the 18th of December. |

More cowbell!

Combine two great things. Walken and cowbell=brilliant. Use that premise to create a website that automatically analyzes and adds to any .mp3=shear genius. Use it with a hilariously filthy song by the nerdcore group Futuristic Sex Robotz, well, that's me baby.

All kinds of sweetness. I've got a buddy who works a few hours a week at a GameStop to keep his discount and he managed to snag me a month's worth of Live Gold. Another buddy has lent me a copy of Halo 3. So yeah, let's kill some shit. In other news: a small glimpse into my personal life. For some reason I've always had some good luck. A few months ago I won a small LCD TV from a local contest. Unfortunately the refresh rate is crap for gaming, but it's awesome as a second monitor. A few days ago I won a Tom Tom from another contest. Kim, on the other hand, has no luck at all, which is ironic because I don't see the draw in gambling whatsoever and she loves the hell out of it. |

Gamertag: Dual45s
Creative, I know, but I was gonna be so pissed if someone had it already. I don't have Live Gold or...well...or games yet so the clamoring masses will have to wait a bit. But don't worry this smooth baritone will be gracing your ears soon enough. Probably reserved for some of my favorite four letter words because I haven't even touched Halo 3 yet much less played anyone who's...good at 1 or 2. I'm going to be terrible for quite a while. |

Hot sweetness...or how I didn't spend money on a 360 |
Live Search Club. Nifty little site that I was wary of mentioning until I had all the details (and legitimacy) figured out. club.live.com Microsoft's version of Chuck-E-Cheese. You play time-killing word games that are connected to a search engine. Presumably the advertisers on the engine pay for the prizes. Great way for those of us with office jobs to kill time. A game nets you 20-25 tickets apiece, with a cap of 1k a day. Latest listing of the 360 (it's out of stock currently) place it at 32,500 tickets. Crosswords for a month and change and get a free 360. All kinds of details in the thread in the contests/free stuff forum. |

The horrible repurposing of my life...or how I used to be "hardcore" |
|
As this is my first entry I'll do a brief intro. My name is Adam, I'm 25, married like a sucka, and work as a graphic artist. Good enough? Awesome.
I considered myself hardcore back in the day, hitting an apex in college. When going to school for an art degree a fair amount of slacking off can be accomplished with little affect on your overall grades. You learn to bullshit and sound like an artist with ease. When several people realized at what seemed like the same time that hooking your Xbox into the school provided ethernet ports and you could play anyone else on campus with no big plan to bring a shitton of TVs and 'Boxes. Hours and hours were wasted in wars between guys in our house and the Delts across the quad. I was good, not the best by any means, but still very respectable. All this was my glorious kingdom, Xbox, booze, and girlies. Then...things took a turn. I graduated. I got engaged. We moved to South Central... |
