I hear a voice trailing in the background admonishing the fact that my game purchasing shouldn’t outweigh my game playing. Recently, I found myself fretting that I missed some great deals on a game that I really wanted and another one that I was interested in playing. I had to stop and reflect with a realization that it just didn't matter. I don’t have to have to have these titles now. I don’t have to feel bad that I’m missing out.

I bought my Xbox 360 In January of 2009. I bought two games and decided that I would finish these games then trade them in towards more titles. Then Circuit City went bankrupt. GameStop held several B2G1s and great coupons. I bought tons of games, every title I wanted and only somewhat interested in.

I have two containers full of games that are mostly unopened or untouched. You just have to think... why spend all that money of these titles if they aren't going to be played? Don't get me wrong, these are games that I like and...

Yes dear, I keep buying games even though I have a lot on the backlog. Yes, I keep saying I'm going to play Bioshock before you trade it in and I've been repeating that for weeks. Yes, I still have games that aren't even out the plastic yet. I'm going to play them.

What can I say? I enjoy playing Rock Band 2 and Street Fighter IV. Yes, I know that means that the more time I play 1 vs. 100, the more dust will settle of my copy of Halo 3. I'm sorry that I haven't even touched Mirror's Edge or Burnout Paradise. No, that Fallout 3 lunchbox is not just for decoration.

I know that I bought FaceBreaker last summer and to be honest I had no clue when I was going to play it if there wasn't the impetus of the server shutdown. I'm sorry that you felt ignored because I boosted NBA Street and went right to bed after I finished. I'll make it up to you. Promise.
