So to try something new for this year, I'm documenting the games I'm currently playing on a weekly basis as sort of a counterpart to my Completed Games Tab. I've been an avid reader of raarar's blog last year which inspired to attempt this.
I have to say... this game is pretty good. I blasted through seven chapters of this game in two days (six in one sitting) and right now I'm just going around doing guild missions and working on trophies which I am about 35%. It's only January, but it's shaping up to be one of my favorite games I played this year. I picked this up awhile ago due to the positive reaction to it on this site and decided to dust it off and give it another go. It's a very quirky game, but it is pretty fun. When I wasn't playing Brotherhood I was playing this. The later levels require a bit of skill, but I've played harder games than this (looking... |

It's been a very long time coming. Due to not being in a gaming mood, not being able to game or too tired from filling an application for college to getting enrolled and registered in one weekend, I've put it off onto the backburner.
Needless to say, I've finished it. I really enjoyed the game. I went from being scared to walk down hallways to just running around shotgunning splicers in the face. The story was phenomenal with all the twists and turns. The ending was great and very satisfying. I am glad that I didn't trade this game in when I got it for free. I'm happy that I gave it a chance because I never would have had an experience like this with any other game.... |

A little backstory: I ended up picking up BioShock at a Blockbuster B1G1 (yep, that long ago) and my plan was to just trade it in for some nice credit. I then decided since I have it, I might as well just play it.
Many months later lol... I ended up playing about 5 hours of BioShock last night (this isn't indicative of how far I got) and I can honestly say... it's not that bad. I never imagined myself playing this since I don't play many shooters and I tend to shy away from survival horror and this seemed like a mishmash of both with some good old fashioned Objectivism as a framework. My stats so far: Hours in: ~5 Achievements: 9/51 Currently: just defeated my first Rosie Big Daddy Not really smart, but I decided to do a one playthrough achievement run so no vitachambers and hard mode. I'm getting owned a lot definitely buy something tells me that when I get the grenade launcher things will change... ... |
