I absolutely can't wait for the vita. I have it paid off at gamestop and will most likely go to the midnight release. The prices on the memory cards are ridiculus though. Come on 32gb for $100? I bought a 32gb micro sd for my mp3 player for $30 from amazon the other day. Sure it's a class 4 memory card which people say is too slow for games but that is bs. A class 4 card will still be faster than any harrddrive and the ps3 plays hd games just fine off a standard 5400rpm harrddrive. If they could get cheap memory out that would be a huge selling point. Especially for playstation plus members who have a huge amount of games they have aquired from that service. It just doesn't make sense to buy the 32gb one off that bat. The 8gb is pretty reasonable at $30 but still overpriced. Heck I saw a 8gb micro sd on sale for $4 today. Doesn't it seem kind of shortsighted by sony to charge so much?

I am sick of new years eve. It's not even a real ing holiday. It's just the end of one year and the beginning of a new one. You might as well celebrate waking up in the ing morning it's the same exact thing. Oh the earth has gone around the sun again yay. Christmas is over just get back to work and get on with your lives. I hate how the entire world basically grinds to a stop for a week or two towards the end of the year just because it's the end of the year.

I know I am not the normal technology user. If something can be hacked I usually do it. I rooted my android phone the day I got it, I have a rockboxed mp3 player, ubuntu netbook, homebrew channel on my wii, and a dd-wrt router. The reason I do all this is because it gives me more functionality or a better overall experience than what was shipped by default. Heck I turned on my wii the other day for the first time in forever just because I read about how easy it was to hack. Played a homebrew portal game and yahtzee which is pretty cool. I don't get why companies don't just embrace the hackability of their products. I would put a disclaimer on the box that it would void your warranty ,but I wouldn't try and stop people from doing it. Any selling point is a good selling point in my opinion.

I don't understand why people drink the most mediocre beer in history. If theire is anything to cheap out on it shouldn't be beer. You can literally get a great 6 pack for around $10. What does miller lite 6 pack cost nowadays? $6? If it was $60 vs $100 I would think twice but Miller Lite vs Bells Two Hearted or another craft beer no contest spend the extra $4. If you are having a party and need to get a bunch of people beer I can understand it but I would rather it be BYOB with a standard then give people the mediocre swill BMC markets at us. I get the cheapest version of dsl att offers. It's perfectly fine for web browsing and for the most part gaming works fine. My consoles are down a flight of stairs and and on the other side of house. Right now on my ps3 under network settings it says I'm getting around 67% wifi signal. I would like to increase that as much as possible. I am using my 2wrie modem that also does wireless. Problem is that the computer that it's connected too doesn't have wifi so it has to remain hardwired. I know that they are two different sports and completely different but what I don't understand why the one is so much popular in this country. The nfl is fun to watch but it takes 3 hours to play 60 minutes of actual game time and during that game time there is a bunch of downtime between plays. That and all the commercials all the time is really annoying. SOccer on the other hand has 2 45 minute halves and 15 minute halftime and the game is always over within 2 hours of starting. The only real downtime is when someone gets hurt and it's very noticeable because they don't go to commercials. Teams score so much in football that it's not even that exciting when your team scores anymore unless it's very late in the game. When your team scores in soccer everyone goes crazy. Also the fans in soccer are so much more entertaining in my opinion because everyone is singing and they wave flags and sometimes even set off flares. On top of all that soccer is so much cheaper to attend...

Everybody is talking about skyrim. I saw a commercial for it the other day and I was like damn this dragon looks gorgeous. But, I'm not a huge fan of fantasy. It seems over done and the same tropes are used in every game. I like game of thrones but, that is because the imp guy is funny and the blond chick shows her boobs. Does anyone else not understand the appeal of listening to people speak in non comprehensible gibberish?

I have a smartphone and while I could use it for music but, I still use a dedicated mp3 player and here's why. A)Doesn't waste my phones battery B) Tactile Controls means I can change songs much quicker while driving. and C) the player I use most is smaller than a matchbox so it really doesn't burden me at all and D) I can put my phone on vibrate and ignore unimportant calls but still answer important ones. Otherwise I would have just put it on airplane mode and not got any calls. I figure that if I bothered to bring my headphones with me I probably can be bothered to bring my mp3 player with me as well. The phone still gets used for podcasts when I run out on the town and I can just stop at a starbucks or something and download a podcast on wifi but other than that I just conseve battery by using a decicated player. Who else isn't ready to ditch the decicated music device yet?

Just curious. I can think of nothing betteer than sipping a few good beers, listening to good music, and playing some videogames. Been listening to a lot of the Joe Rogan experience lately and it makes me kind of want to try weed. I'm in my last semester of college and will be looking for a new job soon. I don't want to risk getting into trouble/ failing a drug test. Is weed really worth it? Just curious. I used to think that weed made people stupid and was invented so smart people could laugh at people like Jay and Silent bob but recently I've seen that Kevin Smith a famous stoner and Joe Rogan are some of the smartest people i've listened too on podcasts and are anything but stupid. It kind of makes me think that lazy people are drawn to weed and not the other way around. What do you guys think is it good enough to actively pursue?

What are some of your gaming pet peaves? Here are some of mine.

1. Games that jump right into the campaign without going to main menu. I like to insert my ps3 games and if there is an update walk away and come back later. I don't want to miss opening cut scene because there is no main menu.
2. After Credit Cutscenes. I want to take a piss after powering through last few missions or jump into multiplayer. I hate these because I don't know if I'll miss them
3. Sony putting their international translator teams in american verison of credits. If it was translated from english to japanese put the japanese translators in the japanese version credits.
4. Having you do stupid quests before you can do main quest.

Ever spend a ridiculus amount of money on tickets to a concert/sporting event just to have to pay something like $15 for parking? If you want our business why make it more difficult than necessarily for a customer to come to your event? If a restaurant wanted you to pay parking I would go to another restaurant and they would lose my business. Woudn't it make more sense just to have free parking so that it encourages people to come? Only way it makes sense is if a third party is running the parking lot for profit. But, since people put up with it I guess they will continue to charge. Also wtf is up with there being only a few exits after a large event and everybody is leaving at the same time but there is nobody to direct traffic and keep it somewhat organized? If I pay $15 for parking it would be at least nice to have a police officer directing traffic out of the parking lot.

I always came up with crazy schemes for inventions but most of them don't come together as nicely as I would like. But this one I'm kind of proud of and would love to share. All it is is an old router I don't use anymore with the mainboard pryed off and a usb hub inside. i fed the cables out the back where the ethernet ports used to be and plugged the power source into wall via a usb to ac adaptor. Too bad the usb hub didn't line up perfectly with the hole in the back that would have been awesome. was kind of sick of using my direct tv box and having stuff disorganized so i just decided to see what i could come up with inspired by a article on lifehacker where someone used furniture from ikea as a charging station

I like to support content creators but, I have a hard time justifying buying music. I like to get the highest quality music possible. So in that scenario I have 2 options I either A)buy the cd and rip it to my harddrive or B)download it either legally or illegally. Option A is a pain in the ass. And if I was going to buy the cd I would definitely not be buying it new since they practically give away used cds on Half.com. In that case the artist still doesn't see a cent even though I bought the cd. Option B is much more convenient. Now let's weigh the download options. I can either get a 256kbps mp3 on amazon or I can get a 320kpbs mp3 via torrents. I have no problem paying $1 for a song but why should I pay for something when I can get a higher quality product for free? Also, in the future when there are mp3 players or phones with over 500gb hdds on them I won't feel bad for wasting a ton of money on mp3s when lossless on a portable actually becomes feasible. I got pulled over today because apparently my third break light on my back window was out. Both of my back tailights worked just fine. I didn't even know I had a break light on there and on my way home afterwards I tried to spot cars with third break lights and some of them didn't even appear to have them. I was going 25 in a 35 accelerating from a light, I pulled over to the side of the road and tried to wave the police officer around me. I was like wtf you are really going to waste my time with this bullshit? Not in those exact words of course. Was it because I glanced in my meer and saw the cop behind me and I looked suspicious? I always kind of get paronoid around cops especially since a few months ago my friend threw a cigarette out my passenger window and I got pulled over for that. I prefer the 360 controller for shooters but am not completely opposed to the ps3 controller. My buddy is getting it on the ps3 and my live account expires sometime in novemember and i really don't feel like spending $50 on top of the $100 i am already spending for the game just to play online. What do you think just suck it up and get it on the ps3?

If you could go without sleeping and you always felt energetic like you just got 12 hours of sleep and drank a good cup of coffee would you? For me it would be nice to have the extra hours in the day but, honestly I think I would get bored and miss the sleep. And honestly, I enjoy sleeping. What about you guys?

I have a ps3 and a 360. I like shooters a lot but the only exclusive shooter I care about is halo and I traded in Reaach already. Since there are no exclusive shooters coming out this year is there any reason I should pay for xbox live in 2011 since the only shooters I care about are Resistance 3, Battlefield 3, and maybe COD? Is paying for xbox live worth it just to use the 360 controller? I know psn was hacked once but I seriously doubt they would up again.
