Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear (I was there)

By The Mana Knight 10-30-2010 05:28 PM
I'll be completely honest that I barely followed the rally and didn't really know much about it. I heard one of my co-workers mention it, but I didn't pay all that much attention. I even got a Facebook event request for going to the event, but ignored it and never knew I got it. After finding out a bunch of people I knew were going, I decided to go ahead and go to the rally. There was no weekend work, so my weekend was available. I decided to head out to Greenbelt, MD DC Metro station around 9am, hoping I'd get to the National Mall just after 10am. So anyway, there was a guy who runs a business in a county south of mine upset over the election results, so he decides to fly the American flag upside down.

Quote:
DECATUR, Ind. (WANE) - A Decatur business owner's sparking a lot of controversy. In protest of Barack Obama being elected president, he's flying the American flag upside down.

Greg Townsend owns Townsend's Tire Service. He says he flipped the flag outside his store as soon as he learned Obama had won the election.
