Trying to kill infatuation for someone?

I've had a strong attraction for this woman at work for a long time now and I can't seem to get rid of this feeling. I know that nothing will ever happen between us because she's my SUPERVISOR (yeah I know), but at the same time I don't really think of her as my boss, and she doesn't really think of me as someone who works for her. As far as work is concerned, we just think of each other as "co-workers". Outside of work, we've gone out with other friends and had drinks or had breakfast/dinner/whatever. We both work for this big retail chain, and when she was transferred to another store, I got promoted and ended up transferring at the same store she was at (which I kinda regret now), so I've known her for a long time and I know a lot about her.
Anyway, I know nothing will happen, but I kinda need to get rid of this feeling. Avoiding her isn't really an option since I work with her, but due to schedule changes, I won't see her as much now (not until January anyway),... |

Sorta new job: keep or not keep? |
|
For 3 months now I've had a new job working helpdesk for a clothing company based in San Francisco. Basically I take calls from users within the company whenever they have problems with a certain program or piece of hardware and I try to assist them when possible. This job is different in every way compared to my now part-time (used to be full-time) job at Target which was working the overnight shift taking care of the merchandise that comes in every night (been there for 4 years now). The helpdesk job can either be really boring or really stressful, and my boss really sucks, but the job is in the field that I went to school for. The Target job is fast paced, everyone works well together, and the team leads and execs are awesome. The only thing remotely similar to each other is the pay (the helpdesk job pays a tiny bit more).
Anyway, this is my first tech job, and I plan on getting at least one tech certification this year so I'm pretty confident that I'll land a better... |
