I'm one step closer to fulfilling my goal of getting the Platinum Trophy for Uncharted 1. Just finished Hard difficulty tonight and quickly started Crushing difficulty. It takes 2-3 shots and then you're dead... this is gonna be hell, especially in the latter part of the game where guys are coming around from all sides. I completed the first 3 Chapters so far, just taking my time day by day.

In the meantime Borderlands, for some reason I'm really struggling in trying to enjoy the game. Many people like this game, but I'm guessing this game is not my cup of tea. But I'm still playing it, hoping that it will get more interesting and plus I would love to get the Platinum Trophy for this game as well. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX for the Game Boy Color!

I remember playing this game a long while ago, but it was the regular Gameboy version. I didn't get the chance to play this game with the extra dungeon in it. I'm very excited to start playing this game, when I get the chance that is... with my backlog increasing and with little time to play all of these great games. But I am looking forward to it. I'm thinking about doing a Zelda Marathon... Play all of the Zelda games released in the US (minus the CD-I games of course) one after the other, either in order they came out or in no particular order at all. It's all just a matter of getting all of them in my collection.
So far I'm missing, The Four Swords Adventures, Phantom Hourglass, Oracle of Ages and Seasons and The Minish Cap I believe. I have look through my collection again, but I do believe that I have The Minish...

First off I'd like to thank both jrsmaster411 and MSUHitman for telling me about the firmware update 3.01 it totally fixed the problem with Uncharted freezing on me. I just happened to get my PS3 probably 2 months ago and didn't know about this.

Now on to the topic at hand: I just completed Uncharted 1 on Normal today!

It took me about 8 hours to finish, not too long, but still a little too short. But no complaints here. The story was pretty damn good, it was as if I was watching a movie. The second half of the game was non-stop suspense for me... Don't really want to spoil it for those who haven't played it yet, but for those that have, all I have to say is "I Am Legend." LOL. The way the game flowed from cutscene to actual gameplay was pretty smooth. The controls were tight but I did have some problems falling off cliffs and platforms though. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. They did a good job in giving the characters some life...

I tried to continue through my playthrough of Uncharted 1, but it just keeps freezing at the same area. Argh! It just got too frustrating, so I had to turn it off and switch my attention to another game...

Borderlands for the PS3!

Okay, so I must admit I didn't hear much about this game until last week. I don't even know what the hell I've been doing for the past few months... maybe living like a hermit. I bought this game on a whim over Uncharted 2, popped it in and I wasn't totally turned on by it. I mean the art graphics displayed in this game are stunning, (I mean, I do enjoy the presentation), but so far gameplay wise and story wise, it just doesn't do it for me right now. The somewhat huge world reminds of Oblivion and Fallout, but not as massive (I've only played for 2 hours, so it might get better the deeper I go into it). Best Buy's B2G1 Free sale just killed me this week. Here I am trying to save money and Best Buy hits me with this damn sale. I couldn't resist, so I ended up purchasing Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Borderlands, and Super Mario Galaxy.
I might just end up returning Super Mario Galaxy for Uncharted 2, but I'm not quite sure yet. I really do like Galaxy though. Either way I'm satisfied, but I can't say the same for my wallet.

Hello everyone! This is my first blog here on CAG, in fact I'm not very familiar with this whole blogging thing. I haven't had much time lately to play video games, since school has taken up most of my time this past month. This weekend is possibly the only free time that I'll have to play. My backlog has increased a lot, so here we go.

First up: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
I played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the first time last night. I was able to put in a good amount of hours and get deep into the game. So far all I can say to myself is "Why haven't I played this game earlier? What took me so long?" This game is just simply amazing... The overall presentation is awesome. The voice acting, graphics and gameplay are top notch. The story so far: Fantastic. I'm really enjoying the experience.
