The movie is available in the US as part of a cheap 6 pack from Lionsgate that I've seen go for like 5 bucks.

If you've seen the first House of the Dead, you know it's a terrible movie. This movie, on the other hand, is not. House of the Dead 2 is a sequel in name only, and it blows the first movie away.

This week is the horror of the Children of the Corn 2.





An interesting departure from the first film, this ventures more into what could be behind the murders.

The film is easy to find on DVD and is the only movie in the franchise not currently streaming on Netflix. The Anchor Bay special edition DVD is the best but it is out of print.

This week is the awesome sci-fi fantasy epic Krull.





A fun genre bending film with one of the coolest weapons ever.

A solid follow up to a classic movie, TMNT2 expanded on the material from the first film and pushed the series forward. Unfortunately, After they blew it with the third and it was years before they attempted another film.

The DVD and Blu Ray are both easy to find.

A movie that set the high mark for video game adaptations of the time, it's Mortal Kombat!





Amazing fight sequences and CGI that was way ahead of it's time, Mortal Kombat was the first video game adaptation that pleased both fans and critics.

The DVD and Blu Ray are both easy to find.

Kicking off the year with another video game adaptation. This time it's the JCVD classic Street Fighter!





Silly, over the top acting, and about 10 more characters then were needed. While the animated Street Fighter movie is closer to what fans wanted in a Street Fighter adaptation, the live action film still has it's charm.

The DVD is easy to find and a Special Edition Blu Ray just came out not too long ago.

Nothing says Christmas like a violent action crime thriller!





For my last episode of the year I get serious again and talk about the very underappreciated gem, Reindeer Games.

The DVD is easy to find and it is currently streaming on Netflix, although I'm not sure if the streaming version is the theatrical cut or the director's cut. This is a movie where the director's cut make a huge difference and is the only version to see.

Singing Christmas songs in the sewer? Sure, why not!?





One of the most poorly produced, insanely bizarre Christmas specials to ever hit VHS. In other words, awesome.

This is out there on VHS but you can easily watch the whole thing on Youtube.

What better way to kick off December than with a slasher in a ski resort!





There are a few winter themed slashers but most of them revolve around Christmas. This is simply a tale of revenge, timeshares, and MacGyver.

Good luck finding this one. It was only released on VHS and most likely will never make it to DVD. Although, who knows? The Boogens got a deluxe Bluray a few months back so anythings possible.

With this being a holiday weekend, I just did another quick recommendation video.





If you are looking for something to watch and you have Netflix, here is a nice selection from a few different genres.

Something a little different this week, the bizarre movie musical The Apple.





In an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of musicals at the time, low budget kings Golan/Globus gave us one of the most bizarrely entertaining musicals ever.

Once again youtube sucks. One of my videos was flagged so I'm back to being locked at only having videos under 15 minutes. So, this one is 16 minutes and I can't post it there.

I take an in depth look at both the games and the first movie in the franchise.

This was a departure from my usual format and a very difficult episode to do. (for a few reasons, one of which being the hurricane) I decided to focus on the facts of the film and did very little comedy. The Silent Hill franchise is one of my most favorite things on the planet so I wanted to give it some special treatment. Hope you enjoy.

A genuine slice of the 80s.

A comet passes by Earth and everyone who is outside is turned into red calcium dust, while others are turned into flesh eating zombies. Two valley girl sisters join up with a trucker to try and find their way in this new world. What is on their check list? Get Uzis, go to the mall. An absolute must see for fans of 80s cinema.
