So now that I have completed the third entry in bioshock I'd like to discuss which did it the best as far as Gameplay and Story because that's what it all boils down too at the end of the day.

If you haven't completed any of these bioshocks or are still playing I'm not going to give out and spoilers.

Bioshock
The first bioshock was very original and I think overall it had the best story and effect. The plasmids that it offered were great and its gameplay was very solid for a slower paced shooter. I even got around to listening the audio tapes which I do did in all the games but these were more enjoyable and a new concept at the time.

So I'm not exactly a fan of god of war but I fairly enjoy the series.

Holy cow! This game as far as game play is one of the best and most visually stunning I have ever played this year! You can now punch and kick people, pick up enemy weapons and the gameplay has been overhauled and advanced.

And when I say visually stunning I mean that I actually feel really bad slamming womans heads against the ground and ripping up their boobs up with my swords

This game has some sexist issues, which I mean, I'm ok with killing women but half of the game consists literally of females. I was surprised and very disturbed after bashing this evil but nice looking womans head into the ground then impaling her with a spike. Thats all good and fresh but over, and over and over again. hmm... Kratos is a straight up wife beater at this point. Its really bad for his character I think because there is no hesitation in his violence....

Such a long anticipated wait to end up being just a embarrassing disappointment. Finished the game clocked at about 5 hours but I left the game on for a hour (maybe 2?) to do other stuff.

The gameplay is solid, if we are talking numbers I would say a good 7.5/10 and I may replay the game since the boss battles were very enjoyable.

The Story is terrible. It adds nothing to the metal gear universe. Sadly, I was hoping for some back story on Raiden or even hints of sunny and what happened with the patriots but no, not even that.



The music was mixed, while I did enjoy some of the soundtracks it varies in quality from mission to mission.

As far as the gameplay mechanics go, there is definitely some good gameplay ideas and concepts executed, especially blade mode which I hope gets copied by the industry however it was extremely difficult to control with the control setup and while you can...

We all are video gamers here, so we can generally predict when a good game will come out and become a smash hit. Thats because we have spent years playing games and we can a general sense for what will be good.

I think I speak for us all when I say that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be a amazing game, Take-Two has a great track record when it comes too GTA games since almost every console release of the game has been reviewed highly and the sales have consistently broken records.

I did a little research a while back and have found that when a GTA game hits the market TTWO the stock has literally doubled its value, you may go to google finance and look it up, trust me on this. in 2008 its stock went from $15 to $25 near the release date, that is a solid jump.

So we know GTA5 is coming but maybe it will be a failure? Lets look at this from a different perspective.

I just finished all 3 campaigns and I am about to finish Ada Wong's tomorrow, this is what I have to say.

I was surprised at all the negative comments about RE6, here is a little from what I experienced.

Gameplay has almost been perfected, you can now walk and shoot and even dive and fire from the ground. You can initiate melee attacks whenever you want now and even battle fist to cuffs with zombies. Only downside is the cover mechanic which is broken but you don't really have to use that. If your old school RE4 like I am, you will know that you loved trying to suplex and kick zombies all day, you get somewhat of a Madworld approach, where if the enemy is holding or impaled with something you do a special melee kill and can smash zombies heads into walls and stuff. I knife fought with Chris almost half through his campaign because it was in depth and fun.

If you even remotely liked RE5 and RE4 you owe yourself by picking up RE6. I felt...

There probably isn't any worse task than picking out the right SSD, not even slave labor can come close.

Today I shopped amazon/newegg for 2 SSD, 1 is for my new macbook pro (Feb 2011) which I'm going to use boot camp for windows 7 along with Adobe master collection/final cut/maya ect ect. A SSD is needed but I don't need to worry to much about space because I found a way to replace the CD drive and stick a second HDD in its place. What I plan to do is use the SSD as my main drive and use the stock 750GB as a backup storage solution since I don't use discs regularly (plus I got a external CD drive for 22 bucks).

the other SSD will be used on my desktop, it was a custom build so the fastest SSD that doesn't need to be replaced is very welcome.

Which comes down to what to get T_T having to choose between asyncromous and Syncromous, Sata II and III, Cost vs. Value, Negitave Reviews vs. Updated Firmware, Waiting vs. Rebates... There were a lot...

Persona 4 (This game is 100+ hours plus with different difficulty settings it would last me least a year)
Final Fantasy XII (Game is long as hell with side quests)

So I just finished up uncharted 3 and I have to say, I hate this game. Granted I'm not really a fan of the Uncharted series to begin with, I've played all their games and its the same cookie cutter story and play style.

I'll start off with some of the things that I did like. The Graphics and set pieces are obviously amazing, along with the voice acting, its some of the best in the industry. That is it for the good.

The story is beyond cliche, this whole game literally could be the same as the previous game and nobody would notice, along with the gameplay which I think personally is repetitive and boring. There is something I noticed while playing, there are the same sequences in Uncharted 2 and 3. Train/Car scene in both games, running across crumbling bridges, Sort of a spoiler alert here but no treasure is won at the end. I'll try to make a video today if I have the time but I thought I would explain a few things I found while playing dark souls.

Very easy grind in the beginning of the game will require some effort on your part. You can get to level 40-50+ in less then a hour, where looking at 5000 souls in less then a minute.

What you'll need is a total of 20,000 souls (I'll show you how to get 10,000 easily), a bow and some arrows and that is about it.

So proceed through the game as normal and collect 10,000 souls, get a bow and about 200 arrows and you can shoot off the red dragons tail (There are several videos about this) to get the drake sword which is one of the best swords in the game. DO NOT engage the dragon or go passed him or piss him off, if so and he leaves the area you will not get a second chance to kill him and will need to restart the game. So the xbox came out around 2005, the ps3 2006, Its been 5 years for each system and the tech in its dated.

The PSN and Xbox Live are very solid online platforms however any next generation system is going to have issues migrating customers and services to something new.

So, instead of creating a entirely new system, why not fix some of this generations issues. Go the old N64 route and upgrade the memory!

Upgrading the processors and memory would allow Developers more freedom and it would still be backwards compatible with older games. I get that its not a PC however a fix like this would make games easier to develop, look better and allow a longer console life span.
