Pickups for this week
By GoAztecs 07-16-2009 05:15 PM

![]() Picked up on Tuesday morning at Target. This is my first NCAA Football game on the PS3, and I bought it mainly for the team builder feature. Earlier today I hit a couple of thrift stores on the way home and found these ![]() I bought the three unlicensed NES games because they were in different carts. As for Ultima I'm not a big RPG fan but I remembered seeing something about the series on G4 when it was still a video game only channel, and it made it sound interesting. The Smash Pack 2 game I thought was for Dreamcast but its a PC game. For a dollar it was worth a shot. Total I spent two dollars for each NES cart, a dollar for the smash pack 2, and 55 dollars for NCAA Football 10. |

At Goodwill I picked up
![]() I finally get to own a copy of Punch Out. I remember Shipwreck talking about Track & Field on his podcast a while ago and hopefully it works with my Power Pad. ![]() not a fan of the game but for this price ![]() I thought it was a good pickup. and something non gaming ![]() The Fleetwood Mac Albums are mint, and look new. As for Debbie Gibson it reminds me of elementary school dances where everyone stood around and just listened to music. |

Another game at Goodwill
By GoAztecs 07-25-2008 02:02 AM

![]() Earlier tonight I stopped by the local Goodwill and just happened to come across Civilization II. I used to own this game but it got lost in the move back to the good old college dorms. During this trip to Goodwill I passed on a bunch of video games and consoles. It seems like someone donated their collection, and I am wondering now what other Playstation games they had (or what games made it to the floor). I also picked up the audio book of Jarhead from Barnes & Noble. I really enjoyed the movie (so much so that I own the UMD and DVD). I really like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts while playing sports video games, and this book will go well with NCAA Football 09. -Chris |

NCAA Football Custom Covers
By GoAztecs 07-20-2008 03:10 AM
|
![]() Earlier tonight I finally printed out an idea I've had for a couple of years now. I wanted to create a custom covers for NCAA Football 1998-2009. Instead of going with the generic EA Sports design, I went with my own cover. I wanted something uniform, and represented San Diego State. I decided to go with Hepner Hall (one of the original buildings on the SDSU campus, and most photographed) and our mascot Monty Montezuma aka The Aztec Warrior. I didn't stop with the covers. I actually wanted to have custom spines because that was the part of the case that would be seen, so I went with this ![]() I got some inspiration from the graphic that surrounds the practice field on Montezuma Mesa. I also wanted to add an image of Aztecs Football.... |

Game Crazy 5 for 5 deal

It turns out my Game Crazy is a store that other stores send all their classic plastic to. I just happened to spot a random Jeopardy cart and saw the big box behind the counter.
After asking to see the contents the employee (who was cherry picking NFL Blitz and Ace Combat) passed up on these ![]() Which is a plus for me. I think I got a pretty good deal for 10 bucks. Happy July 4th!!! |

The Test Blog |

Trying out the new blog feature...
I like the new look of CAG. Another game site I found to have changed a bit was 1up. My 1up page (goaztecs.1up.com) has a lot more points than I remember. This morning I had something like 51,000 points and now I am around 120,000. I guess everyone is changing their game sites. |
