I just got in from Gadsden GeekFest in my hometown. It was a small event sponsored by the local library, it featured authors, comic books, video games like Rock Band, Smash Bros. and Super Street Fighter IV, live music and a little show called BevNerd.

I'm really tired so I'll post my live recorded podcast with fan interactions tomorrow.

I've been looking for my PokeWalker for an afternoon, then evening. I didn't find it, so I just went to the gym without it.

Washed clothes and put them in the dryer, no big deal. Emptied the dryer and just put in one work shirt.

*CLANG BONK* *CLANG BONK*

"Uh oh.....shit."

Washed and dried my PokeWalker. Its now dead.

The good news? I didn't have a Pokemon on it.

Already bought a replacement from the Nintendo Shop's website.

It was $14.99, which isn't outrageous. Then $5 shipping. Now I'm sad again.

Does anyone have one? I have a couple game related things on our cars at home. I will post one and the other one tomorrow.

I got a new camera, a Sony Bloggie, and I've had trouble editing .mp4 files. However, I defeated adversity and came out with a shiny new, HD show this week.

It covers Arizona Watermelon Juice Cocktail, Dark Chocolate Covered Peeps, some Russell Stover candies, Cadbury & Butterfinger Cream Eggs and I'm wearing bunny ears.

I was inspired to write this blog after a couple personal experiences that I've had.

This weekend I was playing Star Control II on Panasonic 3DO. I had been playing for about an hour and a half. I had the game paused when I got up to let my dogs back in the house.

They burst back into the house and were jumping and romping around. I walk into the living room and got my own blue screen of death.

The 3DO had been turned off! The power button, which is on the front of the console sticking outwards was somehow pressed by a canine passersby. Hence, leaving the TV without a video source, turning it blue.

Poop. I lost an hour of gameplay, oh well.

Today, I was playing for about 45 minutes, mining resources in a solar system. I exit the system and get confronted by the always annoying Slylandro Probe immediately in Hyperspace without any time to save.

After the Probe turned my Precursor Starship into a heap of junk....

Finally got a new episode of BevNerd taped after a long work week, a college exam and a family illness.

I like this show, its fun and slightly epic.
