Ever since the Wii Motion Plus was announced, something about it just did not seem right. I felt as though I had seen this before, but I just could not remember where. Well, today it hit me, I remembered where I saw it before. Here it is.
![]() This picture is from the announcement of the Wii remote, back in 2005. Notice the pack that is attached to the bottom of the Wiimote? Now here is a picture of the Wii Motion Plus ![]() Now, what I am accusing here is that the Wii Motion Plus was part of the system/controller from the very beginning, but was decided to be held back for a later date. Nintendo may have had a very good reason to do this. The year is 2005, and Nintendo is still suffering from... |

Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars
![]() This game is what a game should be. For the past month or so, I have been in a depressed gaming state. I have an entire wall of video games for every console over the last 12 years. I have all the AAA titles, all the ground-breakers, everything that I would want. However, I have recently found myself feeling uninterested in games. I feel as though everything is the same. I'm tired of war shooters, and violence and super kick-ass graphics. I just can't get into any games, one of them being Dead Space (Xbox 360). I have no idea why I don't want to play it. The ambiance is wicked, the presentation is awesome, and the game is very polished. But I just don't have any interest in it. Yesterday though, I asked my mom to rent Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars for Wii from Bloackbuster (I haven't played a game from Blockbuster in over 2 years). She did and I started playing it immediately. Let... |

Comical story for English class

Last week, my English teacher assigned the class to read a short story by the name of "The Kugelmass Episode", written by Woody Allen. In short, the story is about a man who is fed up with his wife and decides to use a machine that can transport him into any novel. My assignment was to write a short (1-2 pg) story of my own where I insert myself into any novel, film, tv show, or video game that I wanted. I chose GTA. Here it is:
I was bored of living in Detroit as an investment banker. I decided that it was time for a change, so the misses and I moved to the booming and lively Liberty City. I remember my first day there as though it were yesterday. I started my day by going out for a drive around the city in search of the best restaurants. I got into my newly purchased Blista Compact and drove off. As I explored Liberty City I noticed something peculiar and a little disconcerting. All of the eating establishments were fast food joints by the names of... |

I am not going to say if I am gay, straight, a man, or a woman, because such a statement would take away from the point I am trying to make. All to often I have seen threads on websites like gametrailers, gamespot, kotaku, ign, etc. where the blatant homophobic views of the forum user base is just appalling. I recently saw a joke-post on one of the aforementioned websites where the OP titled his thread "Finally! Kingdom Hearts 3 Concept Art!!!” Within were three semi-erotic (nothing that could be offensive) drawings of Sora, one of which contained another male character from the series. I quickly realized that this thread was in fact a joke, and expected the following posters to understand that as well; boy was I wrong.
What I read in that debacle of a thread was three pages of gay bashing. A majority of the posters wrote statements such as "lol, you're really gay," "OP, you just ruined the series for me, asshole," and " ing $$$, you're... |

From the gates of Oblivion...

As a general preface to this blog, let me say this: I love Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a lot. I first got Oblivion in 2006 when I rented it from Blockbuster for the Xbox 360. I had heard from a friend and the general gaming media that this game was ridiculously good. The first thing I did in Cyrodill was to join to theive's guild. After 30 hours of playing and only passing the Oblivion gate in Kvatch, I encountered a glitch in a thieve's guild mission.
I could not progress any further and was so upset that I immediately returned it to Blockbuster. (Fast forward one year). Christmas 2007. I purchase Oblivion for the PS3. I love it, even more than the xbox edition. I play for 80 hours; fully completing the thieve's guild and the arena. I had also recently joined the mage's guild. However, I had not even got to Wenyon Priory to get Jauffre; the first mission in the game. I had some of, IMO, the coolest stuff in the game, and was around a level 20. I decided to try the main story and... |
