Shadow of the Colossus: a game that, when mentioned, sparks waves of heartfelt nostalgia in even the coldest and cruelest of gamers.



It is truly a wonderful game, and if you haven't played it, I recommend you get your hands on a copy as soon as possible (especially what with its spiritual successor, The Last Guardian, coming up). That being said, game developers could learn a lot from this game, and it is for that reason I've compiled a list of three things that game developers need to learn from Shadow of the Colossus. Let's begin, shall we?

1. Bosses need to be bossier.

Black Ops: Why I've Never Played It and Never Will

Let me preface this by saying that I love first person shooters. Can't get enough of them. Whether it's exploring alien landscapes in Metroid Prime or raising hell for the Helghast in Killzone 2, I am all about that sweet, sweet, first person goodness. However, I've come to realize something about the FPSs being released these days, and it's not good. But before I get into that, I want you folks to look at something.
