Surprisingly I've been playing the crap out of Dark Sector instead of MGS4. I don't know why really. I guess I have a Krull fetish or something.

Dark Sector is a fun game, but not perfect in the least. I've experienced numerous AI bugs and some weird graphic anomalies. I'm on Chapter 4 so I'm getting all of these different abilities to use with the Glaive. Pretty much throwing the Glaive = FUN...rest of the game is a mere OK. Amazon has DS for pretty cheap or it's a definite rental.

Me and the missus are playing through co-op modes in GH3 and GHA. Much fun is being had for sure. Rock Band is still a better multi-player game IMO. Talking RB, I can't wait until the new Who DLC next week.

I've been gaming on my 42" LCD for the last couple of months since my projector bulb blew out. I find that I enjoy the music games much more on the big screen. The new Who DLC may force me into getting a new bulb.

I finished up career mode in GH:Aerosmith. I played through at Medium which is what I did with GH2 and GH3. I played through Rock Band at Medium, too. I guess I'm Medium (I prefer Med-Rare). I can't seem to make any progress beyond Medium. I try Hard and pass a song or two, then BANG I hit the wall and can't get any further. I guess I got to keep practiing, right?

Getting back to GH:A, I repeatedly lost the Boss battle to Joe Perry. I must have played it 10X in a row. I was able to wuss out and continue unlike GH3. GH3 doesn't let you finish career mode until you defeat the Boss at the end. I need to make some serious money in GH:A so I can unlock DMC.

I never did get a chance to update my PS3 to v2.40. I guess it bricks your system. I am interested in the Trophies and XMB access during games. I'm a little bummed that if I will have to replay all of my games to get the trophies. It's not that important so no biggie. For the record I have finished Uncharted,...

I picked up the GH: A bundle for the 360. The wife and I are going to give it a shot tonight. This will be my first wireless guitar so I'm pretty excited. My kids want to know when Guitar Hero: Jonas Brothers is coming out (they are 7 and 5).

We can play co-op now on the GH games which is something we could never do before since the the RB guitar doesn't work with GH games...bastards. So we will be getting back in the saddle with the new wireless and old school GH2 guitar.

I'm a big fan of the early Aerosmith stuff (just like most of us) and Behind the Music bio stuff. I really got introduced to them through Run-DMC. That Walk this Way video did it for me. I went on to pickup their Greatest Hits and then Permanent Vacation...I will admit I bought Pump, but nothing after that. I also went back and picked up copies of Toys in the Attic and Rocks.

Not that anybody cares here are my first impressions of Bad Company (360) and MGS4 and some other rambling. I guess you could consider some of this spoilers so be warned.

Bad Company is pretty cool. I played for for about 45 minutes. It has lots of destructible stuff. You can shoot a grenade at a house and the walls fall down and the baddie inside is left with no cover. There’s already been vehicle stuff and a bomb dropping scene similar to COD4’s AC130 level. I’m digging it. I haven't been annoyed yet by my AI buddies and the "we're bad-asses that do all of these crazy things" vibe.


MGS4 is wacky stuff. Also I'm a total noob when it comes to MGS and don't really know anything about the franchise. I just finished Act 1. They have this running joke about a guy that has diarrhea? You find this dude taking a dump in a trash can, he gets scared off then they tell you to take the can and use it for cover and sneaking. Why would you want this can...
