Happy Holidays Jerks

i haven't drawn anything in a long time or used adobe illustrator even longer. so i wanted to make something while trying out a new technique [ faux paper cut outs ].

saw that posted everywhere at the site i visited today, kinda scary.

I wondered what kind of responses I would get from random strangers while wearing a helmet I made of Bender [ from the TV show Futurama ]. So I jumped on chatroulette and omegle to see peoples reactions [ and hopefully get a better chance at looking at some boobies ]. Most reactions were positive and wanted to stay a while and chat. When I remembered to do so, I took a screen capture of anything funny/weird/awesome/etc.

now for the story.

just a random memory popped in my head earlier today. i was around 7 years old and i was at my local chuck e cheese [ pizza / entertainment joint ] playing street fighter 2 at the arcades. at the time SF2 was the shit and the championship edition hadn't been released yet. i was playing by myself when some other kid [ he was probably 15 ] decides to play me.

i was either ken or dhalsim and i think he was blanka. we play through the first round and i beat him bandly. before the next round could start the kid whispers to me, "if you don't let me win, i'm going to stab you." we played two more rounds and let him win both of them and walked away.

you can't really see my arms but i put gray fabric bands on em.

the bottom part of bender wasn't working out, so i ditched it. who looks down anyways?
[ note: good thing i did, plan was to wear black sweats over my pants with gray bands on top. i got super hot in my costume as i partied in a warehouse filled with hundreds of people ]

will post better ones if / when they pop up.

so i made a post a few weeks back about my costume with some ideas, but a lot of them didn't work.

worked on it for 2 weeks on and off and 1 week nonstop. made from lots and lots of cardboard, some spackling [ to make the dome smooth ], clay for the circle parts, and lots of hot glue. with the helmet on, the antenna reaches around the 6' 9" mark.

will post real photos soon perhaps maybe.

So i used this mask/helmet last Halloween. I meant to make the whole costume but procrastinated and only made the head [ took me 2 days ]. So i ended up just wearing the head, a gray hoodie, gray pants, and some 3 fingered microfiber gloves [ i was surprised to find them; they're also gray... weird ]. And it was still a hit, and had many photos taken with strangers at a warehouse party.

When this is done, i'd like to try to make it as accurate as possible and fairly durable.

I'd like to do the following and would need some guidance doing so:

- Learn how to make LEDs - So i can put in glass eyes that light up and possibly a light up mouth
[ i know the basics of soldering, but know nothing about electronics ]
- What type of cloth to use for the mouth that i can use to see out...

i doodle in class, helps me to think and concentrate. or at least that's what i tell myself.
