Hi CAG. <3 I've been here for awhile. To those of you that don't know me... Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is MarkMan and I like video games.



I'm lucky enough to work in the gaming industry and work closely with like-minded people in a number of projects. Though I may work for one company, that doesn't mean I don't work with several others. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that I am deeply involved with a lot of stuff that goes on in the background... But of course, as you may have noticed... I have a special place in my heart for fighting games and the competitive gaming community.

Man, what the hell am I doing. I started a thread on another popular gaming forum and looking back at it already, it's pretty pathetic lol.

I'll just vent in there. Anywho. What is everyone up to? My birthday is this month... I'm getting... old. But life is getting better...

More stress. More responsibility. Just more.

Real talk. Last game I played was Yakuza 3. I have NO time for games :( !

Anywho. I've been a bit busy (lol) as of late. I recently attended West Coast Warzone 2 in Long Beach and Anime Conji in San Diego. Here are some pics <3 !

Christmas is just a few days away. I'm fully engrossed in my work and side projects that I haven't even come close to putting Christmas/the Holidays into perspective.


Love... Or something like it.

Damn it all. When did I level up on responsibility? I'm always about getting it done. I need a vacation. And no, not a trip to LA. That happens MUCH too often. I'll be going out of the country in early 2010 and while it is a work-related trip, I can't help but hold back the excitement.

It will do me good to just get away from everything for awhile. The daily grind, the monotony and repetition of the typical work day. Absence makes the heart grow fonder after all!

I've been trying to play more video games during some downtime at home. I started on The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks the other day. It's actually kind...

I just had an awesome weekend in Anaheim. Weekend was full of business, pleasure, competitive gaming, good food, good people, and awesome hookups.

Friday morning I went to work and we left early around lunch time to head up for MLG Anaheim to talk some business...



After the rest of the Mad Catz guys left, I stuck around with my beautiful friend Faye as we watched intently on high level play ranging from Gears of War 2, Halo 3, and World of Warcraft...

With a little more than 7 months in the record books, 2009 has been one of the most important years of my life. I hope it has been as eye opening and beneficial to you as it has to me.

I've met some great people and I've forged even stronger bonds with my current friends and coworkers.

In mid 2008 I was presented an opportunity to work on something that I love. Since then everything has been going my way. I'm very thankful to my good friends at work who believed in me and helped me along the way.

Towards the end of 2008 Kailee moved back down to San Diego to live with me permanently. She's now going to the same elementary school I went to and is a 'joy to have in the classroom' according to her teachers. ^_^

My sister moved to New Zealand towards the end of the year and while most of the family was sad, I was happy for her (even though I always made fun of her and called her stupid) because she was doing what she wants to do with her...
