Back, Finally...

So, last time I posted was on sept. 11th.
I'll try to make these more regular. Still, happy to be climbing back on the horse. And what better way to start than with Random crap... I'm happy today. Why? This is why: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMn5lzwk7zg Also, wouldn't Firefly/Serenity make for an awesome game in the vein of Chronicles of Riddick or even the upcoming Ghostbusters release? If they can't do another film, and tv isn't an option, seems like the easiest way to go. More soon. Mike M. www.myspace.com/chibimike |

Comics That Need To Be Games Part 2

Fray, the slayer (Buffy universe) of the future tale by Whedon and Moline, published by Dark Horse.
Developed by the Assassin's Creed team. The same free-running jumping and leaping action and movement, the same fighting mechanics, but stuck into the flying-car, grim and gritty future setting. That'd be great fun. |

Search out my buddy Ray Johnson in artist alley. He's reppin' Chibi Comics, and showing off some of his own work as well.
Also, because I know cag is all about showing love to the gay community, stop by the Prism booth, and pick up a copy of Celina's book Reignbow and Deeva. We're really proud of it here at Chibi Comics, and the writer- Brian Anderson- is a really cool guy. Enjoy the show! |

Taking a break from work...
100 Bullets (fps, developed by Starbreeze)- Oh god, get Azz to write it, and you've got a classic. And maybe, just maybe, redemption for Starbreeze, after The Darkness (which I maintain is one of the greatest story-driven games ever made). I'll be doing more of these as I think of them. Thoughts? |

All Work And No Play...

I know I've been posting almost every day, but we're coming into crunch time here at chibi comics studios.
I'll do my best to keep the posts regular, but it might be off and on for a few days. In the mean time, here's a preview of one of my new books, and a link to our podcast, where we give mad props to Cheapy and Wombat. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ogID=412962141 http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ogID=412958386 |

That's what's playing as I work tonight on my latest script.
So, a few questions: Who else on here is a writer and/or artist? Also, do you prefer music or movies or silence as you work? Enjoy the night, everyone. |

Have a good one, fellow cags.
And to Cheapy, head over to Jackson Burger, or any other bbq pit over there, and have a big meal to celebrate the success of 2.0 And for Wombat... damn, man. Sorry about the 360. I'd say happy 4th, but that number now has a different meaning for you. Regardless, best to all. I'm off to finish my homemade bbq sauce. |

Consoles should move to a six or seven year cycle.
By mike murphy 07-03-2008 06:31 PM

|
To start, I know this will never happen. We all know the industry (ugh, it's so sad we have to refer to it by that title) is set up to change over every five years like clockwork. So, please don't even try to get me to walk down that road with you. I've heard it before.
I'm simply saying moving to a longer cycle is what these companies SHOULD do. My reason for this is simple: the ps2. You want to talk about an installed user base, and reaching the general public? the Wii. Everyone has a ps2. Everyone. That thing is in something like a third (maybe even 2/3rds by now) of homes in the U.S. And why? It's the best buy for entry-point gamers. It's cheap, it's got a huge library, and it has huge recognition, if only because it's been around for so long. So, imagine the current-gen systems stayed in production through 2012. They'd be cheaper. There'd be a huge back-log of titles avalible for great prices, and the user-base... |

The Quiet One

Change is good.
I must say I'm impressed with the new world that is CAG2.0 Most of you don't know me- and with good reason. I'm not one for forum posting, I've only been in touch with a select few cag'ers to buy or sell, and I haven't even really ever said hi to Cheapy or Wombat (well, my girlfriend sent Wombat a birthday card, so I guess that's a bit of six degrees, but I digress). But, with cag2.0, I now get to do what I do best: write. It's my job, and so my brain is always wired to do so. I'll make it a habit to blog here often. Hope to get to know all of you better than I have in the past. Thanks for reading, and thanks to Cheapy and co. for giving me the chance to do what I do best (and create an even better site in the process). Hugs and fishes, Mike Murphy www.myspace.com/chibimike |
