Goodbye, White Controller

One of my white Xbox 360 controllers is on its way to Colorware for professional painting (if you missed my past post: I'm a terrible painter and the materials cost to paint one controller is around what Colorware costs).

I changed my mind on the color and went with the brighter orange (as opposed to the burnt orange).

So I'm now just a few weeks away from having it back in all of it's bright pumpkin glory! I'll be sure to post some pics when it arrives.

First I'm going to apologize for the length -- this was going to be two seperate blogs but I got on a roll...

For the last couple of months I have been pretty happy with my PS3/Wii combo (who am I kidding -- I don't think my Wii has been turned on in the last couple of months), but the weekend special at Wal-Mart has brought me back to the world of 360.

I hadn't really been playing anything of meaning on it at that point, so I decided to sell the broken system rather than paying for out-of-warranty repairs. The few remaining games I had were Goozex'd for some more PS3 titles, and the accessories were sold on Amazon.

Of course, I couldn't resist the deal on Saturday and I'm looking to get back...

FrankTheFrowner's Blog Relaunch

By FrankTheFrowner 11-10-2009 11:10 AM
I'll try and keep my postings gaming-related here, and not do so much game-related stuff on my Twitter/Facebook/etc.

I'll also start with this precaution -- I'm a 30-something gamer with a job that works some crazy hours. My time for gaming has been limited lately, and I don't have the patience for never-ending games that I did back in the day.

In fact, a few years ago I would have said that sports games were my favorite genre. This has changed drastically, since I don't want to sit and keep playing the same kind of game and over and over. The only sports game I own right now is NHL 10 (and I'd like to trade my PS3 version for the 360 version, so I can play some online games with friends). My love for hockey and the NHL series, since the original was the first Genesis game I owned, makes me a sucker for buying the yearly update.

As for systems... I own a PS3 (a 60GB model that I've upgraded with a 500GB drive), a Wii (which has been collecting...
