So I'm pretty much back now. Not that you'd know it from my absence in the "it didn't suck" movie thread. I actually have a request that I've been thinking about and it's going to be a series of posts. Until I get the first one of those out. Rewatching the occasional episode of Breaking Bad has been awesome. The tension man. It's just SO bloody thick you could cut it with a knife. "You're done when I say you're done", "I forgive you" just so many great lines that mean nothing out of context and yet in context are some of the scariest things you've ever heard. Watching Jesse fall apart is just a heart-wrenching. You feel utterly terrible for the guy. Like can someone just give that man a hug?

A much more sober post than my last one.

Like anyone else I'm not sure how to start this, but quite simply on Saturday around 7pm Mom died. There are details but in the face of the conclusion they are rendered, for the purposes of this post, moot.

It shouldn't matter because I know my mother well enough to know that she wouldn't have read it and now she never will but I'm glad I got my last blog up while she was alive. I tend to be very slow with my blog posts because I'm anal with the details and presentation.

I have lots of pictures of my Mom but my life has be splintered over the last three years. Everything I own and everything I am is split over different countries, states, computers, hard drives, etc. It's a long and complex ordeal but for the moment:

Many of you CAGs may be familiar with my blog about my brain tumor. It was a small pituitary sarcoma in the center of my head that was on schedule to kill me in my 50s or something like that. I dunno for sure. Well I had surgery got rid of that sucker and have been going thru all kinda of post-op stuff. This entry has nothing to do with that. This entry is about my Mom whose cancer is much worse than mine. You'd hope a simple mastectomy would take care of it but nope this summer it came back 3 years later in quite possible the worst way. It's all up in her CNS like that's just a hot spot to be right now, like Janet Jackson's hosting a concert there it occurs to me that is only funny to me.. but it's so bloody funny I'm letting it stay . Don't mistake my jovial tone this is absolutely terrible news. Among my traits sometimes people consider me subtle. So subtle people don't get my insults until after they've walked away. Which is so ridiculous I'm always surprised when it happens. And yet ...

This is a 13 year old girl. White. Southern. Probably no more douchey than any other teenage girl. Her name is Beth. ABC News wants to tell you her story. She met Dylan online playing her Xboxes and her Call of Duties in her bedroom. What does Beth do that's so noteworthy? It's not play Call of Duty... grow up guys, girls play Call of Duty. Beth however took the initiative of driving nearly 1000 miles to meet Dylan in person. Why wouldn't she, Dylan is the younger man after all at the supposed age of 12.

We have to assume he's 12, because after being stopped at 900 miles just 130 miles from her destination.... actually let's pause here and point out that 13 year old Beth "stole" her brother's car, and ATM card. Used it twice before it stopped working and then attempted to use it 5 more times. After the card was declined 6 times she must have gotten the clue and went on with her trip. So I got into a Thursday screening for RE:R. Those of you who follow me on twitter know this.



First off that poster is lying to you. In no way in this movie "global". Now to be fair I arrived late but I arrived just when Alice comes into play as far as I can tell. I'm a fan of the RE movies. I've liked them all. They're NOTHING like the games but that's why they work. Rather then trying to stay true to the source and ruining it. They just took the theme and left. So when I say this is the first RE movie I couldn't follow I'm not saying it out of biased hate. As I'm writing this for the first time I'm wondering if maybe I missed a movie? For those who've never watched his show (Tosh.0 on Comedy Central) it's actually rather funny. It's 10 times funnier than it sounds like from the description. It's basically Let's watch YouTube clips and laugh for 20 minutes with a break to bring one of them into the studio to talk. When you watch an episode it seems ok. Then you watch Rediculousness on MTV and you suddenly love Tosh.0 because it's not completely stupid.

Anyway this isn't about Tosh it's about this girl (and tumblr culture which sucks worse than blogger culture...

Anyway reread The Animorphs. Good series. Very dated.
Had such a good time I decided to finally read Everworld.... actually I just acquired it at the same time. Anyway Everworld is in some ways better, someways worse.

The post is a bit old.. (the series is old) so I'm looking at his most recent posts (few months ago. I see an article on weed. People who smoke week generally make me angry. But it's a weak anger. I don't care enough to get actually angry. But they do have stupid arguments. I had started to read this post and it got long... still I had some responses and I thought I'd share them...

Ok as some of you know and some of you keep forgetting I don't have an Xbox. I do want an xbox. For pretty much one game Mass Effect. If they released all three games on PS3 I wouldn't want an xbox. That's about all you really need to know.

That said I try to avoid knowing about ME. All i needed to know was that it's an epic RPG that spans your save across three games. I was sold on the concept. Yet still I've managed to glean a fact or two about the game from podcasts, blog comments, random blogs, and actually trying to play the ME2 demo that one time for about 3 minutes before text too small to read made me very angry.

I'm not going to bother putting a spoiler warning because I don't know enough to know if any of this is a spoiler. heck I'm not even sure it's entirely accurate.

Animal Crossing.. I'm in it to win it, starting my first red turnip this week. Got Muramasa and SingStar Dance in the mail. SSD really needs better prompts. I also started Scribblenauts. I'm almost into the flow of the game. It's getting pretty fun and it makes me feel kinda stupid. Thinking about opening my sharpshooter and buying House of the Dead 4, I haven't been sold on it but I'm being considered.

Everyone else knows the Ghost Recon Future Soldier beta is live right? Where is everyone? I guess I need to check the forums for a CAG night b/c that game is a ghosttown. It also does a terrible job of telling you what to do and what's going on. Maybe there will be more people now that it's open to everyone.. it's open to everyone right?

I really really don't want to buy Journey right now. It's clearly a popular game. It's clearly going to be on sale one day. But on the other hand people literally cry. I heard about this on V.G. Yeah we pieced together that Cheshire was her sister but Sportsmaster as her father? Bravo. As a note I got suckered into watching Zimmerman's brother on TV talking and I see they're going with the kid hunted me down defense which is finally logical but still doesn't invalidate my point that he should be arrested, investigated and THEN set free.. you can't just jump the line. - Ed.

This week I read an article on the black kid killing everyone's raving about. My take on it is simple. Does it suck. YES. Is the guy guilty of a crime. YES. But honestly if they want to not arrest him until they're ready to go thru whatever it is they're waiting for them I'm actually ok with that. I kind of think that's the way it should be. My problem is that they need to take this new (in my mind correct) attitude and apply it across the board equitably. A lot of people get arrested that I believe should be not arrested until they're ready to actually do something about it. Stop taking people...

I opened Animal Crossing for DS on Sunday. I do truly love this game and that's why it hurts that it isn't streamlined. It's still going to be fun and I need something to dick around with that isn't Tetris DS and goodheavens do I appreciate not having to manually select items to sell to Nook but still it should have been great. Ugh. Day 2 and Nooks is closed. I hate you Tom Nook.

Season Finale of Walking Dead.. I suppose I should start watching season 2 again. Last time they were still looking for random girlyface who can't follow the "stay here" instruction.

I've also been catching up on Being Human. As I hinted at before I did completely miss Season 3. I have read that the cast was mostly gone. As a fan of Misfits I was prepared for the worst. However this cast transition was NOTHING like the one in Misfits. I knew soon as I finished Series 3 that the show could survive this. That first episode as well...

As I was walking to the library listening to the CAGcast I paused the show on a question about Binary Domain

Fridays is death for TV. That's a trend. It's been a long time since TGIF and since then Fridays have been the death of a show. No you can't look to Supernatural and Fringe and call that trend dead. Supernatural is an anomaly. That show has been trying to die for ages now. So what we're left with is one show and one show does not a trend break....

Have I not played ANY games this week? I did pick up TVSuperstars (PSMove) it was only $5 and the playthru videos on YouTube made it look decent enough. Also Splinter Cell HD, and it looks like i can't swap out my Uncharted Bundle +Controller for Resistance Bundle +Controller so I might open that tomorrow. It is nice that I officially have 4 controllers. 2 first party, 2 wired.

Heck I think for Simpsons Arcade you could get by with the Arcade controller.

I regret not buying Rochard. I finally tried the demo. Fun. Other demos... Sonic CD.. come on guys ONE level? 300MB+. Are the syndicate demo servers down? My sister bought some French songs on the Singstore.

I bought the GoW origins collection. $20 for 12GB... 12. That took forever. Can't wait until I can play inFamous DLC Game. Also late acquisition (Saturday afternoond) was Dungeon Hunter: Allience. I had a good time with the demo. I doubt the move controls works but still. Need to buy a mouse, Splinter Cell Trilogy ($20 price match), and Red Faction: A for $15 if I can.
