So I recently made my first purchases on the PSN.

Saint Row 2 DLC which I split with another CAG. You get 4 new vehicles one of them has a rocket launcher, some new clothing options, and 3 missions. You also get Terra Patrick, she's not that exciting...

It's about 30 mins of new stuff, unless you die a lot then its closer to an hr. $5 it might be worth it, $10 no way.

RE5 DLC, I went ahead and got the Vs. mode for $10. I don't like paying for things that are already on the disc but hey at least the vs mode is worth. It's either work with your teammates to kill the other team (Team Survivor) or kill the enemies (Team Slayers). Or its a free for all, and over the DLC feels like an extension of mercenaries if anything. I would kill for Ada or Hunk right now...

Most of the players online are civil although a few are idiots.

So I finally got internet and cable. Charter may have cheap rates but when you outsource to another company to do your tech work diseater happens...

To sum it up they were late, my wife had to take extra time off, they didn't do what I wanted, and then I had to get off work early. So I called complained and got free stuff like upgraded to a 10 meg connection for 6 months for free, free DVR for a year, and $30 off my first bill not bad for $70 a month internet and cable plan.

House is good. I still need to find a cheap lawn mower or used lawn mower. The automated sprinkler system is having issues, as two of the automated valves don't communicate with the box in the garage. Dryer was making a banging noise (Called around for servicing and if it was the belt I was looking at $150) and the dishwasher wouldn't drain. My in laws came down this weekend, and my father in law who is a contractor fixed the dryer and the dishwasher.

One of my co-workers gave me his xbox manufactured in 2003 for free. I'll power it up and see if it works. Might be able to re-sell it or use it for parts. Anyone know where I can find a new power cord?

I was also thinking besides a few misc pc games, and a binder full of 13 ish psx games this is the best freebie I've gotten so far. Most of the psx games were worthless I kept Resident Evil 1 and 2 for myself (recently sold them), traded Metal Gear Solid to Goozex, Traded Tony Hawk 2 here, and gave most of the rest away on CAG under the freebie forum

Fired it up seems a bit dusty, drive is a little sticky at least its a Phillips. Yea I'll keep it around who knows maybe I'll throw xbmc on it

Being a long time fan I got the game, and I've had it for about two weeks and today I cracked it open.

First impressions: It looks good. Controls are quick and responsive. I like the idea of co-op with another person, there are lots of people playing right now, some are veterans to the series and others are noobs. I bought the game b/c I am a big Resident Evil fan and 4 was one of the best games I have ever played.

The negatives: Computer co-op is not that great. Sheeva is semi stupid, I would have preferred the Ashely option from RE4. I'm flying through the game pretty quickly which makes me wonder how long it really is. Also the dumb revamped inventory, its smaller and there is no pause function. Also where is my friend the merchant? If you plan to play online get a mic please it makes everything easier.

Thins I'm looking foward too: Mercenaries mode, Albert Wesker showing up, and maybe the DLC.

Got it and I would like to play Co-op with someone. My only requirements you have a headset and are not from Gamefaqs and have played at least one other Resident Evil game. Evenings after 8pm pst are best, let me know.

I picked up a Saturn a few weeks ago with 2 controllers, a gun, and 18 games, from CL for $45

I'm in the process of selling Nights and the gun with 2 games on ebay

That leaves me with the Saturn, 2 controllers and 15 games. I was thinking about listing the games and the system as a lot and based on the auctions I've seen I think I could get around $60-$70 although Im sure pp fees and shipping would kill it. Some Guy offered me $70 for my Saturn and games so I think Im going to take it.

And on another note I finished Saints Row 2 last night. It's a decent game most of it never feels like a chore. Although I thought the flying in GTA IV was nasty, I found Saints Row 2 to be far more cumbersome. Most of the mini games were okay for a few rounds but many of them including escort became stale quickly. I wish there were more people that played multiplayer, at least with GTA IV I can still find people to play online with.

A head cold in spring? WTF?! I'm stuffed up and everything tastes odd, and I shouldn't take the day off....I glad its almost Friday.

As for gaming, I'm taking a short break from writing for theGoozexReport just cause my writing has been very crummy of late. I'm still waiting on my copy of RE5 from the Goozex Exchange. (Hello Amazon?!)

Been playing a little Killzone 2, but I've recently fallen back on Saints Row 2 and COD WaW for some reason. I do need a new six axis/d3 controller as mine is feeling the wear and tear of the last 3 years and I dropped it a bunch.

I sold a ps2 network adapter the other day which was nice, and for the most part my gaming spending is something at -$100 or so since I've sold so much in the first Quarter (jan-March). This month alone I managed to move $300 worth of gaming stuff.

I listed a few of the Saturn items...

Well first off I picked up a ps2 network adapter from GS this weekend using some credit and the 10% off coupon. I listed it on ebay and within 5 mins it sold for $50 with free shipping. I also sold my soft-modded xbox tonight for $120 on Craigslist.

And finally details on the house we got this weekend.

On Friday we bid $148500 on a 1750 sq ft house that was built in 2000, asking price was $157500, price had just come down $500. Buyer has to pay all the closing costs and fix all the windows with bad seals which we made a list of.

Late Friday they counter with $157000 they'll take care of the windows and 1/2 the closing cost
We counter back with $152000, they pay 1/2 the closing costs, and replace the windows. They accepted!

The house was on the market for 4 months and was originally priced at $1600,000, which was fair for the area. I think the house was worth around $155k, but who cares we got a newer house, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths,...

Went to Hastings and got $40 for my copy of SW TFU for ps3, not too shabby, when I paid $9 for it.

Garage sales were terrible, I didn't see jack. Pawn shops were also low on stock

But I did hit up GS and trade in a few things:

So total spent $9, and most of the Goozex pts came in from referrals.

So I think I did pretty well and our offer on the house went through,...

Continued to House Hunt this weekend, saw at least one decent sized house in our budget with some minor cosmetic things that we may take a shot at. Our initial 2 offers for a house from last week were rejected. They wanted 164k, so we tried 150k and then 155k (our max). Oh well the house is not worth 164k, if anything its the low 150,000s.

Didn't get the I.T. job here locally, I had a phone interview for it, I thought it went well. But the guy who I referred to the contract company got the job...if it would have been a face to face I would have gotten it over him. So back to the old grindstone for that.

Gaming wise, enjoying Killzone 2 and was thinking about making a few pickups from the Hastings b2g1 for $1 used sale on dvds, cds, and games or the GS b2g1 sale. I couldn't find anything worth my while at either store, and I was only looking for maybe a few titles: Fallout 3, Sonic Genesis Collection, DMC4,...

Today I scored Pokemon Diamond and the DS browser from a pawn shop for $16, not that great of a deal I know. Get home and realize the DS browser needs the expansion cart, I return it, get a full refund for both games and turned around and got Pokemon Emerald, so Diamond and Emerald for $8, they are either going to ebay or to GS for trade with the 40% bonus.

Hit up to Garage Sales missed a bunch of ps1 games I was 2 mins late getting up. NOOOOOOO!!!!
Next garage sale after an oil change and breakfast, got The Legend of Zelda CE for GC complete and Resident Evil 2 psx complete for $6.

Then I went house hunting and out to dinner with my wife, followed by canceling my RE5 preorder in wake of the TRU deal and getting Killzone 2 for $54 on GS credit.

Just emailed a guy on craiglist about some psx games. Anywho anyone want to buy my DC console?

Cool, the controls felt a little stiff, and the curving bullet effects were badass. Graphically the game looks good, I am worried it may get old or repetitive soon(Stranglehold anyone?) and that the special stuff is only a gimmick.

As for recent pickups....not too much. My wife has been ignoring Cooking Mama for the DS so that might go back to Goozex, and Boom Blox is on its way, although the Wii has been strangely silent recently, as my plans to finish RE UC have been put on hold b/c of work. And if I can't find the time for Boom Blox back to Goozex it is. Speaking of Goozex my referrals in the last month have been through the room

I took advatage of the Gamefly sale and got SW TFU, trust me on this one do get the 360 or ps3 version since the Wii/ps2 version look like something a 3 year old put together.

Yea its been about two weeks since I posted. I'm still at same job and I'm still in semi training. Last week I went on a few site trips, 1 to one that I had been before and one to a new one. 2 days last week I but in 13 hrs a piece plus my 2 hr commute.

This week much of the same long days and long hours with some more I.T. training thrown in.

My wife is gone for the week in Hawaii at her bro's wedding. I didnt want to take the time off and I didnt want to pay for the ticket. Don't get me wrong Hawaii is a great place just very expensive. So this weeks I've had to cook for myself and its been crappy since I'm lazy and I work so much.

I spent last weekend in Pullman seeing my brother, having a few beers, and realizing my tolerance for the party life has crapped out. But after seeing my brother's end game expirence with Fallout 3, I determined to buy it again at $30 or less.

I spent about $90 at CC so far, and the last day of...

I'm sure some of you know that I write for the Goozex report on a regular basis under kube00. It's a blog that supports Goozex. I write articles about games, sometimes about what's what on Goozex, the point drops on certain games, but more often then not I write about trends in the industry or games from the classic/last gen era that are still worth playing and getting from Goozex.

I don't get paid, my referral link is up there and once in a while I get a hit from that. Out of all the blogs I've written for, Ionicgaming, Games with a brain, IG.org, the Goozex report has the most traffic and the most exposure.

The articles I write are submitted to other sites one example is Digg, as well as a few others, and surprisingly I get a lot of good feedback and traffic from the other sites. Who knows one day maybe I can turn my writing skills into $$$. Until then I'll write for free because I enjoy it.

So I got a phone call today for another IT job. It's an interview, its at the place my wife works (the hospital), and its only about 10 mins from my house. I'm easily qualified for the job and the interview is Friday. Her boss has already put in a good word for me.

Come Monday I start my new job 60 miles away.


The hospital job may pay a little less, like a $1 less an hr, but its closer, great benefits and it will save me gas money and wear and tear on my car. Let's say in a Week I get an offer from them? What do I tell the other job?



Also I'm sure I'll get an offer, hell I didn't think with this other job I would get an offer as for one of their requirements I had no experience.

Shrapnellistic and I hit up some Nazi Zombies today in COD WaW for ps3. So if you wanna play sometime let one of us know. After next week evenings after 7pm pst so 10 pm est for you east coasters, except for Wednesday (GTA IV night). But I have all of this week free, I'm home all day hit me up on PSN: kube00 and in no time the Zombies will be burning.

One a side note Volt1up and I did a great trade last week I forked over some money, and I got a great deal on a Sandisk Sansa e250 mp3 player with a micro sd slot. Part of the deal also netted me a 2gb micro sd card. It will be of great use next week when I start my long commute. The mp3 player has a very bright backlight and its interface is easy to use. Now to find a media player that supports it and my ipod touch, although with the e250 you can drop and drag most stuff...

Anyways what are some older CAGcast episodes worth listening too? Mainly stuff from the middle of 2007 back.

So in the light of my new job which doesn't start for another week or so I got mail saying my unemployment came through, so I'll get $436 for the this week and next week, and so on until I find unemployment. But at the same time they want me to attend a mandatory workshop for unemployment if you don't attend they can halt your benefits.

The irony? It's on the first day I start my new job. So I'm going to call them next week and explain my situation that I just got an interview and a job and that I wont need the unemployment anymore....

Furthermore, my wife mentioned that an IT job had opened up at the hospital she works at, about 10 mins from my place. So I applied there online and stopped by today to have lunch with her and I dropped off my resume and cover letter in person to the HR people. Her boss put in a good word for me a well. This IT job would be closer, the pay would less, range is $15-22, so I imagine I get around $16-$18 vs the $20 at my new ...

So I got a call today about a job offer, its the systems tech job with the hr/60 mile commute.

I got the offer of $20 an hr, I tried to counter for more due to the commute, but still $20 an hr is decent with 100% medical/dental covered. They need to know by tomorrow. The only turn offs, the drive and the location, Toppenish, WA.

Took the job start the 2nd of Feb, I have the option of getting a company cell phone.
