Call of Duty: Vietnam |
Via Joystiq: link So, Treyarch's next Call of Duty game may be set in Vietnam. My first reaction to this possibility was disappointment when I think back to all of the past Vietnam War games which range from mediocre to just plain bad. What if Treyarch does this game right? What needs to be in a Vietnam War game? I would love for the game to be full of napalm, helicopters, and Vietnam War era music (in that order). What do you think? |

Free 360 Games !? |
|
About two weeks ago I stumbled across one of the best kept secrets in the CAG forums: The free stuff thread! Through this thread, I learned about yourfree360games.com. Since I signed up for the site I have gotten Rock Band, The Rock Band drum kit, and Guitar Hero:Aerosmith for free!
You don't have to get referals, just complete 2 of the free offers from the sponsor sites and they will send you a free 360 game. Really! I'm not putting this in my blog to get the referals, I just think that every CAG should know about this site. I will literally not have to pay for another 360 game. I hope that anyone who reads this takes advatage of this site. I didn't believe that it was this easy until I tried it. If anyone has questions, please feel free to PM me and I will help you anyway I can. |

4th of July Gaming

I'm spending my holiday at home with my family. On this rare opportunity that I have to game for several hours (very rare with a baby in the house) I am working my way through Rock Band and spending some ime with Battlefield: Bad Company.
Why can't I talk to my whole team with this game ??? I know that there can be a lot of confusion with everyone on a large team talking at once, but what about a small team that doesn't talk at all or even have their mics on. Oh well, maybe its a bandwith issue... Happy 4th to everyone! |

Blockbuster = "Ballbuster"? |
|
Day two of the user blogs on CAG. Even if there is no one else reading this, at least I have a place to vent...
Over the course of the past week, I have been to my local Blockbuster three times to trade in a game for store credit. The reason I am going to Blockbuster instead of the EB Games juggernaut is because the handy CAGwiki(http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index....rade_in_values) shows that Blockbuster offers the highest trade-in value for this game. The first two times I went into my local Blockbuster to trade-in this game, I was told by the employees that only the manger (who was not in) knows how to process a game trade for store credit. I consider myself a moderately patient person, so when I went back a third time, I finally got to meet the elusive manager. After waiting so long to see her, I didn't know what the protocol was when I met her. Should I bow, should I kiss her ring? I finally just said "hi" and handed her my game, hoping that... |

CAG 2.0 and the new rating system... |
|
After being teased by Cheapy for well over a year, CAG 2.0 is finally here! Thanks to all who made CAG 2.0 possible. I know that many hours of work went into making the new site and I am looking forward to the new functions that are going to be added in the future.
I remember hearing in a past CAGcast about the ability to rate a game by its price value ( or, how much you would pay for the game at retail). Is anyone else exited about this feature??? I think that this rating scale could shake-up the gaming community if it is implemented correctly. I believe that many publishers are far-removed from reality in tthe pricing of their games. Should a shovelware game ( i.e. Jumper for the 360) really be $60 when it is released just like a triple A game (i.e. COD4 or MGS4) ??? Just how does a publisher come to believe that game that is pushed out the door to be a movie tie-in or a game that is rushed to cash-in on a current gaming trend ( puzzle games in the 90s, 3rd party wii motion... |
