New Strip! SOPA Attacks

By myopicprophet 01-19-2012 09:09 PM
Please check tout:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/18/sopa-attack/

The Strip: SO yeah…this is my SOPA strip. It happened…totally. SOPA/PIPA is bad kids, stay off of them…and um…stay in school….wear a condom?

Gaming: Got a couple of new iOS games that I haven't played yet. I'll talk about them later when I actually have.

TV/Movies: Sigh…nothing.

Music: Zilch.

Life: So, just been working on comic stuff as of late. Not much else enters my mind. I do think Saturday night is shaping up to be a geeks night out…or in as it were. If I had willing participants…or knowledge, or the …stuff, I would play some D&D. I want to play pretty bad. Met some super cool folks this week. Inspiring, motivated dudes. Love being around that energy.

Well, may your Friday just shut up and get over with.

New Comic! Fusion Ha (Dragon Ball Z)

By myopicprophet 01-17-2012 07:28 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/17/fusion-ha/

The Strip: So this strip was a long tim coming, as suggested ages ago by my pal Josh…or Tserrof…if your nasty. Also this actually happened.

Gaming: Listen…I don't want to commit, but I think I am going to get SWTOR…but I'm afraid.

TV/Movies: Jeopardy…and wheel of fortune…sigh. I left the room.

Music: GoT audio book. Sweet music to my ears.

Life: If a tree fell in my yard…yeah…we heard it. Well actually my mother in-law heard it, and we are now forced to get a tree removal company to come out and…you know…remove its remaining upright portion.

Wednesday…ENGAGE!

New Comic! Snow Day

By myopicprophet 01-15-2012 08:39 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/14/snow-day-2/

The Strip: So I do actually get snow days at my work. They are good about closing early if a mid-day snow storm hits. Also, being in IT, I can work from anywhere, and when the kids have snow days that means I have a snow day. Still…its not the same. Man, when I had a snow day, I was either out building a sledding track with a ramp at the end, having a snow ball fight of epic proportions or trolling the neighborhood for unwitting folks who needed their driveway "shoveled". I can't imagine a did a great job.

Gaming: Finally got back on some Skyrim Saturday. Does anyone else just stop and look up at the stars…for like half an hour? I also played the demo for the old school style, side scrolling beat-em-up, Bloodrayne: Betrayal…and man is it a lot of fun…also she is hot…real hot.

Music: Went back to listening to a little Mumford and Sons...

New Comic: Project Fiona

By myopicprophet 01-12-2012 09:52 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/11/project-fiona/

The Strip: So yeah, this Project Fiona thing…My knee jerk reaction was that I wanted it. But I don't really want it…because WTF will I do with it? Its too bulky to actually be a portable gaming device, and you can't use a keyboard and mouse with it so LAN parties are out…so again…WTF would I do with it?

Gaming: I have still not gamed since last week…but i will game this weekend. I want to download a few demos, and of course play some skyrim.

TV/Movies: Jeopardy with my wife…this is what I am reduced to.

Music: Nothin'….

Life: My work was kind enough to purchase a new Wacom Inkling for me and a few other fellow employees to test out for possible business related applications. So far I am very impressed with its ability to capture the detail of even the most subtle movements. I wish A4 wasn't the required paper...

New Comic: MySpace! (And Justin)

By myopicprophet 01-10-2012 08:55 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/09/myspace-2/

The Strip: So at CES..yeah…Justin…MySpace…I am a fan….whatever..judge all you want. I don't care. Also I thoroughly enjoy drawing Aggro in all the weird poses.

Gaming: I haven't, for a week. It hurts…But I've been balls deep in webomicing people!

TV/Movies: There is this show…its called "Work It"…its like bus am buddies, but with no talent, or writing, or anything redeemable. If you see it, kill it, and bury it.

Music: JT…WHAT!?!

Life: So yeah…not a whole lot going on other than focus on the comic. I have a lot of things I am trying to balance and get out. I hope you all will enjoy it.

New Comc: Poon Hound (I'm sorry)

By myopicprophet 01-08-2012 11:55 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/07/poon-hound/

The Strip: I will start by apologizing to all of you, and to Mr. Chuck Wendig. I read a fantastic article about writing over at http://terribleminds.com/ramble/ . In this story, there was mention of Chucks dog rolling around in Elk Miscarriage. After a little chat with Mr. Wendig on the twitters, he confirmed this was in fact a true store and gave me the ok to bring his horrible experience to the world via this ultra disturbing comic. Again, I can do nothing but apologize. If you are a crater and want a good kick in the ass and in the funny bone, go read his blog, you will be better for it.

Gaming: None…I didn't game all weekend. I just worked on comic stuff. I got the art done for one of my first t-shirts that will launch in Legacy Controls forthcoming shop. It may or may not be a Dragonborn and Alduin shirt (hint: it totally is a Dragonborn and Alduin t-shirt). If those...

Fridays Comic! I Cant Not )Skyrim, Batman, Zelda, Star Wars)

By myopicprophet 01-05-2012 10:34 PM
Please check it out!

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/04/i-cant-not/

The Strip: Ok, I think I got it out of my system…not more Skyrim comics. I reserve the right to be a liar. This strip…I wish I could say I had fun drawing, I didn't. That isn't to say I am not prod of it. I think its actually some of my better work. I just felt a lot of pressure with this one for some reason. Hope you like it.

Gaming: If I said Skyrim would you throw a shoe at me?

TV/Movies: A little bit of Shameless with the wife getting ready for the new season to start. We didn't watch today, we watched earlier in the week, but If I didn't tell you about that I would have anything to tell you.

Music: Went back to listening to The Paper Chase again…why do I do this to myself.

Life: Ah and friday is upon us after a long week (plus) off. Seems like this Friday is kind of being a dick. Kind of mocking actually. Other than...

New Comic: Bein' Productive

By myopicprophet 01-03-2012 08:38 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/02/bein-productive/

The Strip: Yeah…this is all true with no exaggeration at all. Creepy I know.

Gaming: I have joined the Companions…A little late I know…but so far I am loving it.

TV/Movies: The wife and I watched THe Ides of March today, with a one Mr. Ryan Stare Face McLooky guy Gosling. He stares a lot is what I am saying. Pretty good film and it was cool to see all the local Cincinnati sites up in lights. Cool and very very strange.

Music: My son now has to have a constant rotation of the following songs: Sexy Chick (Akon), The Club Cant Handle Me (Flo Rida), Poker Face (Ga Ga), The Best Day Ever (Sponge Bob). He has taken a real liking to Dance Central 2. He can also perform a majority of the moves at this point. I may post a video.

Life: I may have mentioned it, but dammit am I sick. I should be getting better at this point...

New Comic Stick With It

By myopicprophet 01-01-2012 10:55 PM
Please check it out!

http://legacy-control.com/2012/01/01/stick-with-it/

The Strip: This strip is for all you other creators out there. You know exactly what I am talking about on this one. Hopefully I captured that moment of realization, that all of us who create comics, have when we realize what we have committed ourselves to. Let me say…I wil lake it all. All the sacrifice and shit that comes alone with making a comic…its totally worth it. Hell, its worth it just for the other great creators and fans I have met. I truly love this shit and I and going to work so so hard this year to get better.

Gaming: Skyrim., Rayman, Dance Central 2. yeah.

TV/Movies: Watched Drive tonight…holy shit it was far gorier than I had anticipated…but I like it it…I liked it a lot.

Music: I gotta get the soundtrack to Drive!

Life: What a great NYE I had. Played Dance Central 2 with my family. Caught up...

New Comic: Burden Sworn (Skyrim)

By myopicprophet 12-29-2011 11:12 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2011/12/28/burden-sworn/

The Strip: Lydia, for being my servant you got a real shitty attitude alright! But she is, underneath all that armor…still a woman…a woman who has needs just like me.

Gaming: I played a bunch of Dance Central tonight. Tried the UFC personal trainer again…it seem s that this game, more than other Kinect games requires a bit more than the minimum distance from your tv. We will either have to get a bigger house…or never play it again…guess which its gonna be.

TV/Movies: I watched the iCarly bloopers special…and I loved every single damn second of it…what of it!?

Music: My friend Corey introduced me to some pretty great/funny dub-step today. Its called Borgore…Its oddly appealing.

Life: This "time off" isn't proving as lucrative (comic wise) as I had envisioned. I will be ahead some…but not as much as I would have...

New Comic! Mind Job

By myopicprophet 12-27-2011 09:15 PM
Pleaes check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2011/12/26/mind-job/

The Strip: I just really want this. I have oft sat and tried to unleash my inner Jedi, and my thoughts always turn to who I could use these powers for sexy time stuff. Lifting dresses, mind squeezing boobs, and of course plain' with my own stuff…all day. I wonder if brain hands chafe as well?

Gaming: So other than Skyrim, I have been playing a couple of other games that I purchased with the much coveted GameStop gift cards I am showered with every year (I do truly love them). I acquired UFC personal trainer…my arms hurt…nuff said. I also got the new Rayman game. Its so so much fun. I am instantly transported to my adolescence. I feel the acne coming in all over my body. I will talk more about these when I get a little deeper into them.

TV/Movies: What not to wear with the wife…I don't want to talk about it, and we are knee deep in watching Riding Hood....

New Comic! Let Down

By myopicprophet 12-25-2011 10:48 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2011/12/24/let-down/

The Strip: Not much to say about this one…just makes sense.

Gaming: I have put in some more time with Skyrim. I have killed many, I have undressed most, and now…I yell like a dragon.

TV/Movies: Traditional Christmas Story on repeat.

Music: Guess.

Life: Wow…what a great day spent with family and friends. So lucky to be able to spend CHristmas with my wife and kids. Just bursting with love right now. Hope you all had the same kind of day I did.

Happy Holidays,

Javis

New Comic: Respawn - Entertainment, Activision & COD

By myopicprophet 12-22-2011 10:22 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/2011/12/21/respawn/

The Strip: So yeah…did your hear slash see this? Now I am a fan of what Jason West and Vince Zampella have done for the FPS genre. They have really taken it up a notch…but why even put out these obscure blurry pictures…whats the point? I don't feel excited…I feel insulted. Maybe they are making fun of the industry, and how releasing two blurry images is enough to even be a news story? Either way…I am super excited to see what they have on deck.

Gaming: So I am starting to get really jealous of all of the stuff I am hearing about Skyrim that I am just not a high enough level, or progression to experience yet. That said, I do had about 10 days in a row off for the holiday season and plan to do some serious Skyrim time…as long as I work ahead on the strip first.

TV/Movies: Why did I ever like A Charlie Brown Christmas? I mean I understand that as a...

New Comic: They Swim (friggin sharks man)

By myopicprophet 12-20-2011 09:02 PM
Please check it out!

http://legacy-control.com/2011/12/19/they-swim/

The Strip: I really don't have any idea why this one happened. You know that movie They Live…its like that…with sharks. My daughter has a shark poster…I'm scared of sharks…they are of course among us plotting to over throw us…get over it.

Gaming: I'm really going to try to get on and do some more Skyrimming this fine eve. I am currently stuck in a god forsaken dungeon trying to assemble some amulets. I am getting guy rear handed to me over and over….I will overcome. I am Dragonborn

TV/Movies: My wife watches old lady shows every night…what has the world come to?

Music: I went all Christmas today. Charlie Brown, and Bells of Dublin. Trying to get the Christmas feeling going!

Life: I can do nothing but salivate for this time off coming up…oh how do I need it. I plan to have quite a buffer after the break.

Happy...

Comic! Alarm Cock

By myopicprophet 12-18-2011 08:42 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/?p=628

The Strip: Can someone please get to work on this alarm clock right away…please. We all know the best part of waking up…if it happens…ever.

Gaming: I am trying to assemble these damn amulets in some god forsaken cave and I am getting my ass handed to me over and over again! I must exit said cave and acquire more levels! I also played a little MW3 this weekend. Skyrim has totally jacked my aim…which is to be expected.

TV/Moveis: We watched 2 moves this weekend. Bad Teacher, and Eagle vs Shark. Bad Teacher was supposed to be a pile of crap, but we actually liked it. It was cute and had some pretty funny bits. Shut up Eric Eagle vs Shark, starring Germain from Flight of the Conchords was pretty good. I thought it was just going to be the New Zealand Napoleon Dynamite…but it wasn't…not totally anyway.

Life: Want to welcome my buddy Nick back in town. I just feel...

New Comic! Dragonborn and Alduin (Skyrim Calvin and Hobbes)

By myopicprophet 12-15-2011 11:02 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/?p=626

The Strip: This strip…it was a blast to try and emulate the master. Its hard not to do Skyrim strips…really hard. I think may just change my comic to Skyrim comics. Not really, but I totally could.

Gaming: Um…Skyrim.

TV/Movies: Ok, haven't watched much. I did watch the victorious christmas special..or as I like to call it…boner hour. I was also alerted to a new show coming out on friday called Remains. Its from the director of 30 Days of Night. Looks interesting.

Life: Scott Kurtz, one of my comic idols wrote something that worried/angered me today. Se it here:

http://www.pvponline.com/2011/12/15/yes-were-serious/

This seems hypocritical form someone who has been an advocate for the community his whole career. I wrote him an angry email. I hope he doesn't destroy me. He really is a big inspiration of mine, and to see him pimping...

New Comic Its a brown out! (shitting at work)

By myopicprophet 12-13-2011 08:55 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/?p=621

The Strip: This strip, I made this strip because something like this actually happened. The ending wasn't quite the same….but it could have…it could have.

Gaming: Not a whole lot to report as I have been a bit ill, so no dancing but i plan to go to Skyrim after posting the strip.

TV/Movies: I must admit I have been watching Last Man Standing with Tim Allen…or Home Improvements II: The Allening. Its actually pretty good. I'm sorry I've failed you.

Life: Yesterday was actually Legacy Control's one year anniversary. I have a anniversary comic started…I don't know why I wasn't feeling it. I may still post it, but not on this night. I do want to give a heart felt and sincere thank you to all of you. Your support and kind words have keep me going. I love you all

May your Wednesday be filled with humps.

New comic! DANCE (Dance central 2)

By myopicprophet 12-11-2011 08:54 PM
Please check it out:

http://legacy-control.com/?p=620

The Strip: It's not actually as bad as the strip makes it out to be. There is that moment when you see yourself on screen, and I liken it to hearing a recording of your own voice. Its unpleasant. Unless you like your own stupid voice…in which case your wrong. Your own voice sounds dumb. Its universal. The game itself is super fun, and if you just convince yourself that you are "bustin' it" like one of Brittany's back up dancers, you will have fun. Also, beers help.

Gaming: I have been playing a lot of Dance Central 2 with my family…I don't know if I had mentioned that. Also got a bit of Skyrim in…you know to break it up a little. I did intact jump on mine craft for a bit. It was like hooking up with an ex-girlfriend…who explodes…

TV/Movies: Watched the first episode of Breaking Bad tonight and I did enjoy it. I doubt it will take me completely as other shows have....
