New comic! Little Balls Stupid Stick (Battlefield 3)

Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=561 The Strip: Let me stop you right there. I do not have a problem with golf, as a matter of fact, i love golf. I am just too poor to play anymore. What I do have a problem with is people who play games as a hobby, look down their nose at those of us whose hobbies are gaming (be that on a computer, on a table top, with cards, or on a videogame system). Now this conversation did happen at my work … sort of. It fell way short of this, and the character is an amalgam of people. The guy who I had this conversation with was more messing with me, but I wanted to address all the looks and head shakes when people find out that I am taking a vacation day when I game I want to play comes out. Gaming: Guess … yep, BF3 y’all. I don’t want to dig into it too much, as I am going to do a strip about the it for Friday, in all likelihood. Let me say this, It’s fantastic. I think I am... |

New Comic: Drunken Festivities

|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=556 The strip: I would like to do Halloween themed comic year round. I love Halloween a whole lot you see. This didn't actually happen but very likely could have. You know that disorder where you have to carve dicks into things...I think he has that. That is a real disorder. I once saw a squirrel with, what appeared to be, a cock shorn into its flank. Cant be sure, but I smell NiCad ll over that one. Gaming. Jumped on and played some Black Ops Zombies with some buds. I wanted to try out the new mule kick perk. We never got far enough along to try it out. Black Ops zombies have lost a bit of their luster for me in the shadow of Dead Island. Speaking of which, I played after my friends and I tired BO:Zombies. Still so addicted. Going to be hard to walk away when BF3 arrives come this tuesday morning...but I will. Music: Mumford and Sons, Bastion Soundtrack, The Paper... |

Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=550 The Strip: I had a totalyl different strip started, then got a text from my good friend that works with my brother (NiCad). This comic is a direct quote (punched a bit obviously) from his adorable mouth. I have yet to discern if he meant to make this joke or not. Either way...kudos to you little brother Gaming: Lets talk about my wife gaming for a bit. She doesn't do it, not often. Every once in a while...when the moon is in the seventh house of blood (talking out of my ass here), she finds a game that takes her...completely. She has just discovered Plants Vs Zombies. Its hard to say the she "discovered" it considering I sang its praises long ago when IT CAME OUT, but I'm not bitter. I am just glad she is gaming, and as addicted as ever was to my games...well not quite, but close. Music: Nothing..and for this..I feel shame. TV/Movies:... |

Comic, BOOM! Walking Dead

|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=547 The Strip: I really had a lot of fun drawing this strip. Maybe more than any other I have done. I dunno why really. I love the second panel. I also really like Rabs face in panel three. Still refining/learning my style. Those of you who really pay attention will notice nuanced differences. Gaming: I have obviously been on a bit of a zombie kick since Sunday night. Cant get enough of Dead Island man. I wish the day progressed in the game though. That is to say, i wish night fell over the island. The temptation to acquire Arkham City is terrible. What game goes in its stead though? I cannot rationalize getting it with out sending a sacrafice. It would likely be Rage. Ugh, BF3 comes out next week, and I know I will not finish anything for quite a while. Curse you fall season of plenty! TV/Movies: Listen, cant stop thinking about The Walking Dead. Also have Captain... |

Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=545 The Strip: Now listen, I don’t want to discourage any of you ladies out there from giving your man one of the best gifts imaginable. This is more to make sure you add some fine print to the coupons to avoid similar situations. Gaming: Played pretty much Dead Island Friday night, but ran into one of the fabled glitches. Came out of the sewers after about 3 hours of playing and the game freezes and says “Mission Failed”. I am afraid to turn it back on and see how much was lost. Music: I only listened to one song over the last couple of days, and that song was Party In The USA by Miley Cyrus. Deal with it. TV/Movies: The Walking Dead..nuff said. Or not, it was a really good start to the season. I felt like I was going to puke a few times, and was so anxious at some points I though t I was going to have a full on break down. I am going to... |

Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=544 The Strip: I want to apologize deeply to Notch for this. It had to be done. Yeah, if you hadn't heard, Dragons in Minecraft son! Gaming: I am currently downloading the Ace Combat demo. Something about that game has me very interested. I figured out Dead Island yesterday, they key, its to use an electrified axe. Stand on a hood of a car, and swing until your little heart content, or at least until your stamina meter runs out. Also, stockpile as many deodorant bombs as you can. TV/Movies: Aladin was on Disney tonight...God...so hot. Music: Listing to a little Nicki Minaj today, very little. Life: So this damn rental property...ok, you win rental property, you've broken my spirit. Found out the other day the the place was broken into, as it sits empty, because its uninhabitable due to the amazing infestation of roaches. They broke... |

Gaming: I am falling deeper and deeper in love with Dead Island. I love its hair, its eyes, its scent. I love the way it laughs…you know how it moans a little at the end. Its just so damn fun, and there is just so much to do. Also…did you hear that there are ing DRAGONS in Minecraft now? So RAD!!TV/Movies: Uh, The Avengers trailer! New Comic! Rage

|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=539 If any CAG's ever have an idea for a comic they would like to se me do, please feel free to drop me a line. I love feedback and suggestions. The strip: Most, if not all the time, post apocalyptic worlds don't make any sense. But...there is no real source material...yet. Gaming: So I got the Rage, the game not the emotion, well the emotion as well. But not about the game. The game is beautifully done, and I am not sure this is the games fault, but in a world where Fallout is the gold standard for post apocalyptic gaming, Rage seems a bit...bland. Had Fallout never existed I don't think I would engendered a sense of being derivative. I jsut kept thinking, "this is Fallout: Arcade Edition." I don't want to sell Rage short. It is evident that a lot of time and effort went into the game. So far there is a lot of things rage... |

http://legacy-control.com/?p=534 Well CAG community, we did you crazy bastards! You all helped get Legacy Control as a featured comic over at Kotaku. I couldn't have done it with out your support. A big thanks to Cheapy for the tweet! I am going to cook something special up for the CAG community...I don't know what yet, but it'll be good The Strip: I was taken by surprise by how much genuine loss I felt having heard about Steves passing. It really hurt me...deep like. I cried a little. But I am tough so I cried coal and fishhooks. At any rate, you cant deny the impact this man had. Gaming: My lovely wife attempted to purchase for me the game known as Rage on the way home today. I do want to play it despite the tepid reviews I have read, and who am I to deny my wife when she want to buy me a videogame. Problem is she failed...I love her anyway though. I will try to pick... |

http://legacy-control.com/?p=533 I dont mean to keep harping on it, but thanks to the CAG community specifically for all the support and kind word on my strip. Thanks for stopping by and voting for Legacy Control on the Kotaku poll. There are a lot of great strips, and some that have been at it for over 10 years so its a long shot, but with your help, we could be, not in last place! Sincerely, thank you! The Strip: Ya see, we own have a rental property. The last tenants left some new tenants. I will discuss it more in the “life” section. Gaming: I was very tempted to stop after work and get Rage. I read some reviews today that scared me off. I will stick to the iPad version for now. I am hoping to get a little more co-op Dead Island in after the post. I would want to play some more BF3 Beta but I cant seem to figure out how to get into a game with a party. TV/Movies: We just... |

Please check it out, and dont forget to vote for my comic on Kotaku (link below the comic on the site):
http://legacy-control.com/?p=528 A very special thanks to all the CAG support I have gotten. Thanks especially to Cheapy for the hot tweets! Please remember to vote for my comic on Kotaku, and if you have already, thanks so much. Just click the "Vote Button" below the comic and it will take you to the place to vote. The Strip: So I went outside of my comfort zone here a little bit. Tried a new format for the strip because it wouldn't fit into just 3 frames. I was just think how damn sick Princess Peach must be of kidnapped. So obviously a concealed carry class would be in order. I like the idea that even bowser would be terrified of a .45 caliber pistol pointed at his head, and that Peach is going to callously execute him. Ahhh good times. Gaming: I played a little more BF3 beta... |

Big News for Legacy Control (Kotaku) |
|
Hello all my CAG brethren...and um sisteren (is that a word?),
I have been honored by being nominated by Kotaku to be the next webcomic featured on Sunday Comics. As you all know I would be counted among my idols if I were to win. There is, of course, some stiff competition on the site. I am already indebted to the CAG community for getting me started in webcomics at all, but I will be in double debt if you would go and vote for Legacy Control on the site: http://kotaku.com/5845705/sunday-comics-poll Voting is open until this Thursday at Noon, so please spread the word! Thanks so much! Javis |

New Comic! Battlefield 3 Beta |
|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=512 Wondering if there are any other CAGers with a comic (digital or otherwise) of their own? Or aspirations of starting one. If there are I would to hear from you. As I have said before I owe the CAG community for getting me hip to the webcomic scene. Also, is there any other CAGers from the Cincinnati area (Other than Ship)? Is there a way to search that? The Strip: Ok, I did try to play, and actually got to play one point five rounds of the thing. It seemed like it will be good though its a great departure form Call of Duty, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Once I made the horrible mistake of trying to play with a buddy on my friends list, I was locked out for like twenty minutes and gave up. Then this strip was born. It just seems like EA has enough money to make sure things like this don't happen. I dunno, I'm sick and might be overly complainy. I threw a curveball in there with... |

New comic! The Balls of Eternal Stench (Labyrinth) |
|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=508 The strip: Ludo was a blast to draw. What, you may ask, in the is Ludo doing at the Legacy Control compound? The answer is simple. The family was watching that very strange, but great movie, Labyrinth. You know, the one where David Bowies pants are inappropriately tight. So of course, the Bog of Eternal Stench reminded me of the smell that comes from my balls after a marathon gaming session. So here you have it.Gaming: I played some co-op Dead Island with some friends and I laughed a lot. Most of the hijinks happened while the 3 of us were whippin around that zed infested paradise in a little pickup truck and gathering Xp by slamming into the scantily clad undead. Also racing to splatter the head of our shambling foes, what good clean fun. TV/Movies: I have a feeling a movie which I will call Kristin Dunst gets al kinds of naked will soon make its way into my... |

Please check it out!
http://legacy-control.com/?p=504 I was wondering if any of the CAGers have any comic requests? Any game in particular or just an idea in general you would like me to touch on? Please let me know by sending me a PM or emailing me or hitting me up on Twitter or Facebook. Also, if any of you would like my strip featured over at Kotaku Sunday Comics, they are taking submissions. Drop on by and suggest my strip if you are so inclined. It would be much appreciated. They will have voting for strips next week so I would I will again call on you to help me out. The strip: The strip took a long time, but it was a lot of fun to draw. I hope you all like it. Gaming: The quest continues for the elusive NPC villiage. I did, however, find a totally rad swamp biome. A friend just got Dead Island so I will finally be able to play some co-op. Haven't progressed any further on Gears, but I intend to play tonight after... |

|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=503 I would like to make sure that you all know that I am actually having a lot of fun with Gears 3, and its definitely a AAA quality game. The comic may make it seem like I do not like it. I assure you my CAG pals, its not the case. The Strip: Seriously, the cutscenes Cliffy. I had a lot of fun drawing Cliff. Gaming: Gears of War 3 - In the campaign mode there is quite a lot of cutscenes, as you may have gathered. Its not only that there are cut scenes, there are also those moments when the characters are talking on their coms, and are strolling around in slow motion with their hands to their heads. Also, the writing...not great. While actually playing the game though, its a ton of fun. Enemies popping out of the ground, new and varied opponents, great job. I have played a bit of Multiplayer, and I must say I like it a lot more than I thought I would. Gears... |

New Comic: Jonathan Coulton Concert |
|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=499 The Strip: Sorry for the latter than normal post. So yes, I did have the pleasure of seeing Jonathan Coulton live last night, and no, I didnt throw my panties up on stage. They landed just shy on a young womans shoulder. JoCo opened up for They Might Be Giants, and they also rocked! It was a great show, though my wife should have jettisoned about 50% of the contents of her purse prior to the show. I, of course, had to hold the thing after her arm started hurting. It was heavy enough that it altered my posture and made my back revolt. Gaming: Gears of War 3! I played for a better part of the day yesterday, and I plan to devote another large chunk of time to the game today. So far I am enjoying it, and doing better in multiplayer then I did in the beta. I plan to do a comic about it this week, so I will most likely give a deeper review in Fridays comic and post. Music:... |

New Comic: "Cos" to Worry (Comic Expo Cincinnati)
By myopicprophet 09-18-2011 10:47 PM
|
|
Please check it out:
http://legacy-control.com/?p=489 The Strip: I attended The Cincinnati Comic Expo this weekend. I had a lot of fun as it was my first comic expo. There was a fair share of neck beards and unpleasant smells, but more than anything else there was just a lot of cool people. I met a lot of great talent, local and otherwise. I got some signed Walking Dead prints from Tony Moore...totally rad. I feel like I want to give shout outs to the local guys trying to make it, but I think i will jsut add them to my links on the side. Jules and I (thanks for checking out the show with me Jules), saw many cosplayers there, as there was a costume contest. I will upload all the pictures soon, and by "all" I mean about 5. All the costumes pictured n my strip I actually saw. Let me say that Deadpool in the third panel is an embellishment. There really should be a rule about having to wear a cup or something if you are going... |

Please Check it!
http://legacy-control.com/?p=486 Tonight I drew the strip while listening to the most recent CAGcast, and it made the process much more enjoyable. I am not saying I do not enjoy the shit out of making my comic. I am passionate about it, but I have a full time day job in IT, 2 kids and a nightmare of a rental property. This has not been an easy 10 months. But I will carry on, I am committed, and I feel obligated to get the strips out for those of you who show support and check out the site and giving me feed back. It makes all the sacrifice worth it The Strip: Have any of you ever drawn a picture that you want to have sex with? Ha yeah, me either... Gaming: So yeah, you guessed it, Adventure Update for Minecraft came out. So I have only got about 3 hours in so far and there are some likes and dislikes. Sprinting, charging arrows, and the parry: I love sprinting, how your field of view widens... |

Please check it out!
http://legacy-control.com/?p=483 Thanks to everyone from the CAG community for visiting the site, and for being the people who inspired my foray into webcomicing. Thanks to whipsmartbanky specifically. Your art inspired me to stop being a puss and put my stuff out there. A lot of people are mean on the web, but you just gotta roll with the punches. Thanks to Cheapy and Wombat for introducing me to Penny Arcade three years ago. I cant believe there was a time that I didn't know about those guys. Geez. Its been a great 100 strips and I hope to give you all better and better comics over the next hundred. Thanks! The Strip: I actually have that outfit in panel two. I thoroughly enjoyed my hundredth strip! It really does seem like yesterday that I spent 9 hours putting a ton of detail into Boner Alley in my first strip, only to realize it doesn't even show op at the resolution I would eventually post at.
