The second panel is a pretty accurate snapshot of myself…well more a hybrid of my high school and college self. I had the grungy shaved underneath haircut (which I am sure did wonders for my sex life) and my skin wasn't stellar. So, this conversation in the second panel…it was actually much worse than this but actually did happen around the time the original Tony Hawk was out. Don't pity me, I wind up marrying my dream girl and have two amazing kids

In reality I am loving the HD release of Tony Hawk. It's so satisfying. I missed it so. Wreckateer is also a lot of fun, but will reserve judgement until I get some more time with it.

Yes…I know the whole thing about the parsec. You can't really blame him though. I am not sure I could last even a few nano-parsecs.

I have totally re-fallen in love with True Blood this season. It has a good mix of drama humor and bad assery. It could have a lot to do with a particular vampire who is AMAZING ( no spoilers from me.)

I have been introduced to an amazing local band called Foxy Shazam. I am a big fan of Queen and this lads firing on all cylinders is more than reminiscent. I suggest checking them out.

I played a bit of the Tony Hawk PS HD demo and was immediately transported back to my parents basement (i'm still not sure if this was a good or bad thing). My son was mesmerized...

So, some might say, "This strip is misogynistic" and others my say "this guy is anti religion"…and still others will probably say…"this ass hole talks about magic the gathering a lot." Only one of those groups would actually be correct. I think we all know which…

So any way…I bought an M13 deck builders box and for twenty bucks its a pretty good deal. You will get 285 cards 102 (ish) of which will be land. Even still 183 cards for $20 (before tax) works out be around $1.75 per 15 cards (standard booster pack, Somebody check my math on this). The carrying box that it comes in isn't quite as nice as a fat pack box, but it holds more cards. So if you're just starting out in Magic the Gathering, or you need to pad your collection this is a no brainer.

So been playing a fair amount of Duels of the Planeswalkers on the iPad. I am fairly certain there is some hacks/cheats going on. I played the same guy, over game center, five times with 4 different decks and he had EVERY card her needed EVERY game to destroy me totally. I felt like I was playing agains AI in the later levels. I know its possible to get that lucky but something is fishy.

Also, for all your irl Magic players out there… the Bonfire of the Damned. That is all.

So I golfed…and I burned…badly. Its actually quite hilarious. Did I meant ion it was cloudy almost all day? Yeah, the sun and I do not get along. After golfing had a great might of Magic the Gathering with my pal Chouse. It was good fun and I had a lot of lucky shuffles. I think I know what I need to do with my decks to get them tuned up nice.

There is potentially big changes coming this week. I will keep you all abreast.

I haven't actually played Civilization V yet. Despite the urging from my friends. I totally plan on it, just not at the moment with Mgaic 2013 core pending (Friday!). So the idea from the strip was totally conceptualized by a good buddy and huge supporter of my strip Nick C. He is a stellar human and could very well just be a demigod.

I have the dark business of a company golf outing this Saturday. I enjoy gold and I will enjoy the guys I am partnered with (Bart and Rob) though there are some factors that may take away from the fun. First off its supposed to rain and possibly storm on Saturday which doesn't mix well with golfing. Second, the place is almost an hour away from me so that is lame because I do not enjoy driving anywhere that is further...

I am a Mac guy…to the hilt. I had always had a mac. My first computer was a Performa. Even though I do feel I suffered at the hands of PC owners growing up, I do not want to be that guy, but there really is something about the Mac culture that drives us to cast a downward eye on any other product. Ah…so thats what happened to the Unicorns. I can only imagine what the crew had to do to get rid of those pesky Velociraptors.

I have had five days in a row off and got nothing extra accomplished. One of the days being the 4th of July and watching the kids for two of those days has a great deal to do with that fact.

I also went to a prerelease party/tournament thing for the Magic 2013 core set that comes out Friday. I played at a great little gaming shop near me called Yotta Quest. You should definitely check it out. I played well but eventually got destroyed by one of the lovely ladies I had the pleasure of competing with (Thanks to Kate, Allison and Julie for the great games and teaching me a lot.)

We've all been there…a late night of drinking, perhaps you've been on some medication, or you're going through some tough mental stuff then all of a sudden you put a 1/1 nothing on the battlefield. Sometimes you will hear snickering, but if your with the right opponent, they will understand.

As I have mentioned before I have beaten the shit out of the campaign mode on Magic 2013 (iPad). Well I have now ravaged the "revenge mode" and will be moving on the the remainder of the …modes. I think it plays well on the ipad though sometimes I must admit trying to drag an assigned blocker back to untapped position can be frustratingly difficult to do.

If you haven't seen the E3 trailer for the game The Last of Us by Naughty Dog, you should. It like Uncharted with disturbing violence. They really seem to have captured that sense of terror trying to survive waves of people that want to do you harm.

I got Magic 2013 for the iPad and I love it. I beat the game and moved on the the "Revenge" battles. Now I've been on the same battle for 2 days and can't beat this one planes walker . I am using the EXACT SAME DECK HE IS and he still seems to have the answer to every card I have. So after this shellacking, my pal John came over last night and beat the shit out of my decks for like 8 straight rounds (this includes my main wolf deck). I won only one stupid little game. I am frustrated. Well, I received an amazon gift card for fathers day and immediately went online to bolster my deck(s). I would...

I don't know what it is about leaving food out in the lunchroom at work but people see it as an opportunity to gorge. I don't blame them because who knows when they might be able to eat again.. Wait of course I do, it's when they get home to their houses. You know the place with the refrigerator and pantry filled with food?

What I am trying to say is that these people don't live on the Serengeti and then are not feral dogs so I wish they would conduct themselves accordingly. If you do not make regular trips to the refrigerator to check on your food, there is a chance it may have been deflowered by the time noon rolls around.

It's true…I…I was a Master System kid. Instead of Excite Bike and Duck Hunt on Christmas morning it was Hang On and Safari Hunt. Now we Master System kids like to say we didn't need Mario…we had Alex Kid or Sonic…but lets face it, we needed Mario.

I really always felt like a gaming outsider. All of my friends always talked about the NES and Super NES games they wanted or were playing and I tried to explain how the Master system was so rad because it had a cartridge slot AND a game..um..card thingy slot (Ghost house anyone).

I've been to a few water parks in my day. Where I live is a kind of amusement park mecca. We have a little place that goes by the name of King's Island. Maybe you've heard of it [blows on knuckles, rubs them on shirt]. It's actually known the world over for its wooden coasters, but it also has a rocking' water park. We also had a couple of other water parks in the area that have gone out of business.

The water park that we visited two weekends ago was called the Great Wolf Lodge. Its an indoor water park with slides, wave pools and urine filled play structures as detailed by Jerry and Mike. What struck me about this Great Wolf Lodge was the intensity of the life...
