I was one of the few, when the new "Metro" dashboard came out, who said "it's not that bad", "give it time", "you're just not used to it", and other various things to try to make this inevitable change work well.


Well, I have given it time and a fair try and my opinion is that.....

IT IS A FLAMING PILE OF $#!+ THAT SUCKS EMU 8@||$ FOR SPARE CHANGE SO IT CAN BUY A SPORK AND HANG OUT IN FRONT OF THE MARKET TO PUSH OLD LADIES INTO TRAFFIC AND EAT THEIR TAPIOCA!

Seriously. I am all for people making a buck and selling advertising, but when it gets in the way of what you are doing it becomes a completely different animal. You can advertise on a bus bench, but when you advertise on the seat and then angle it so it is facing you and at eye level, it then becomes a billboard. You can't sit on a billboard and wait for a bus.

I have actually figured that you can get rid of 5 of the 9 catagories (let alone the "pages" IN the catagories) and STILL have room for advertising!


I am DONE with routing around for what feels like hours trying to find something that I have still yet to find!
I am DONE with misleading panels that just take you to someplace for you to buy something you did not want.
I am DONE with flipping through pages of panels just to STILL not find what I was looking and then forgetting what you were looking for to begin with.
I am DONE with holding right for what feels like an eternity just to get to one of the games that I already bought that starts with a "W". Heaven knows that MS does not want anyone going to the left to wrap to the end. They do not even let you do it in their Netflix software! (I know it sounds petty, but I am on a roll!)
And don't EVEN get me started on the way they show/price their sales in the panels! (wait so what is the actual price?)


In short, (I know, too late) I gave it a fair shot and the only things that I have learned about it is that it has ceased to be entertainment and has just turned into a giant sales pitch. And in turn, I have noticed that I have not been using my Xbox360 as much because of it. I have actually found myself thinking "Man, I haven't (insert xbox activity here) in a while. That sounds cool! *sigh* I really don't feel like trying to wade around in that dashboard. Nevermind." And then I either turn on my PS3 or watch a rerun on TiVo. I have even played my Wii!
