This month is where everything comes to a close for a while. I've got many plans involving "Not wasting your damn summer inside playing video games again". This year I'm going to CONVENTIONS to waste my summer inside playing video games. I'll still probably end up playing through some SNES games or something on the off days. So with that over with, here are the games of MAY

29. Fable 3
I cannot put into words how much I HATE this game. It's Terrible graphics, it's horrible aesthetics, the virtually unchanged gameplay from the second one, the entirely forgettable soundtrack due mostly to the loss of Danny Elfman I asume, the pointlessness of the dog, the necessity of the breadcrumb trail, the fact that the breadcrumb trail has gotten WORSE, why the hell is that thing called "The Crawler"? I've never seen him crawl, Logan is the exact same character as Loghain from dragon age: origins, the jobs have gotten worse, leveling up has become worse and infuriates me story wise, and somebody is at the door I'll be right back.

30. Fable: The Lost Chapters
I liked this one though... I don't remember Jack of Blades being so hard to kill.

31. Doom
It's Doom... you've probably played it.

32. Red Faction: Guerrilla
Maybe it's just me, but the ending kinda popped up out of nowhere.

33. Bulletstorm
I'd be perfectly happy calling this game the unofficial Duke Nukem: Forever if the real one sucks. "I JUST DROPPED A TRAIN ON THE CLOVERFIELD MONSTER!"

wow that was a short one... barring fable 3...
See you on the other side.

Yeah I'm a little late on updating, sorry about that. I popped on CAG a couple of days ago to update the ol' blog and... well... yeah, I was locked out. I've only posted about 7 times in the forums so I couldn't be trusted to post my somethingteenth blog.

I guess if it's so much easier to monitor the forums for trolls and spammers then I can just pump out a couple comments and get back on the bloggin' wagon.

ANYWAYS this is about the ACTION 52 CHALLENGE MONTH 4 the MOST PRODUCTIVE MONTH of the YEAR so far. If you've got a problems with the list PLEASE LEAVE A SCATHING COMMENT.

19. Super Smash Brothers
This is without a doubt my favourite fighting game setting, surpassing even the sequels. I love that all of my favourite characters are all just dolls in the hands of an omnipotent hand which gives them life so they can fight for it's amusement, only to revolt and destroy it... This is EXACTLY what I did with my toys as a kid. It works so much better than the freaking trophies

20. Fallout 3
After playing through all of the DLC, New Vegas, and through 3 Several times over. Yeah I'm through with fallout.

21. Crackdown 2
This is one of the few games that really conveyed a strong emotion. I really felt the fear and dread emanating from every terrified NPC as dusk fell and the freaks came out. I enjoyed every second of my questionably righteous crusade to save the city. Buuuuut the ending sucks.

22. Left 4 Dead
Co-op is much better with sleep deprivation

23. Halo 3
Don't like it.

24. Super Street Fighter 4
EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. I never want to play fighting games ever again.

25. Portal
me every 2 minutes: Hahahahah oh that's awesome

26. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
Me: Fuckck it, I killed Illidan. I'm calling this one a win.

27. Halo: Reach
Am I the only one who didn't like Reach? Am I the only one who read the books? Am I the only one who doesn't understand why the fuckck the covenant took so damn long to complete their mission and glass the planet? Am I the only one who thinks it's too much of a stretch to call an alien ship a corvette? This game sucks.

28. Kirby's Epic Yarn
I loved every second.

See you next month.

I've been struggling to maintain my schedule of 4 games per month (Says the guy who beat 5 games...

I've been struggling to maintain my schedule of 4 games per month (Says the guy who beat 5 games this month) mostly due to my brother buying a World of Warcraft time card for me, however I have overcome this problem and marched onward to conquer:

Wolfenstein 3D, Peggle Nights, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Fallout: New Vegas
leaving me six weeks ahead of schedule!

As far as reviews go...

14. Wolfenstein 3D
This is one of the first games I've ever played... and it's just as awesome now as it was back then

15. Peggle Nights
It's just more of the same

16. Spyro: Year of the Dragon
Okay so what do you get as far as gameplay goes in... say... the entire Halo series? Shooting, and driving. What do you get in Spyro YotD? Shooting, racing (time trials, chases, kart style powerup races, and beat the blank to the finish line), 3D platforming, 2D platforming, flying, top down shooting, puzzles, and much more!

17. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I've put hundreds of hours into this game and still somehow manage to find quests that I've never done yet!

18. Fallout: New Vegas
I've played dozens of hours of this game and I feel like I've done everything in the game!.. What the hell guys... what the hell...

And next month I plan on beating the following: Jade Empire, Super Smash Brothers, Super Street fighter IV, Guitar Hero II, and probably DDR Mario Mix.

Good luck to Mr. Crowbar, x1pdy, 356, Iron, and everyone else who decided to take part in a similar challenge!

A challenge and 13 reviews

Okay so my new years resolution was to beat as many games as possible this year. This has all...

Okay so my new years resolution was to beat as many games as possible this year. This has all changed once I realized that there was no real challenge in a limitless goal.
SO NOW I PRESENT *drum roll* THE ACTION 52 CHALLLLEEENNNNNNGGGEEEE! 52 GAMES IN ONE YEAR.

Like the little joke in the name there? in the name there? eh, they can't all be winners.
Onto the rules.
1. Beat a game put it on the list.
2. DLC doesn't count
3. Expansion packs most be voted upon to be added to the list.
4. No cheating, no hacking, no exploits.
5. Games with no clear ending must be given a clear goal (Most likely through a vote)

And seeing as just writing about how I beat a game would be boring so I'm probably going to give you a few mini-reviews on the games I've completed so far... that are probably boring as well.

JANUARY
1. Dead Rising two
It's dead rising again, with crap music, and a very fulfilling ending. "YA GOTTA RISK IT ALL CHUCKIE!" *splat*

2. Bully: Scholarship Edition
Really glitchy but the music is great

3. Spore
I have no idea why this game gets so much hate. A++

4. Mass Effect 2
I have no idea why this game gets so much love. A++ (Even though it's not as great as I had been led to believe.)

5. Left 4 Dead 2
Only for people with upwards of two friends

6. Fable 2
Better gameplay than the first, and... uhhh... yeah I can't say much about this one

7. Saints Row 2
Best GTA game since Vice City.

8. Rock Revolution
This game should not exist.

FEBRUARY
9. Halo 2
Still is remarkably good looking for an original xbox game, and the gameplay is pretty good too.

10. The Path
This game is just creepy... that is all.

11. Chime
Very short but worth every penny

12. Gun
Pros. Good setting, good gameplay
Cons. Too short, quick draw breaks the game

13. Peggle
It's video pachinko with fairytale creatures... yeah it's pretty awesome.

So here's my current status
I'm currently playing Dragon Age: Origins
I'm planing on beating: Borderlands, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, Dead Rising, Fable, Fable 3, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Half-Life 2 (Episodes 1 and 2), Halo, Halo 3, Jade Empire, Kane & Lynch 2, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect, TES: Oblivion, Plants Vs. Zombies, Portal, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Super Street Fighter 4, Super Meat Boy, Unreal Tournament 3

Did I do well? I'm not usually a big Sony guy but... actually I had 2 PS2s already... ellipsis... slight regret... metal gear... all is well.

EDIT: oh god the analog sticks are... sticky.
ALSO: Tiger Woods was hiding another memory card

I know it's poor taste to make two blogs in one day but I thought you guys might like my new modded (Spray painted) 360 case.

I'd like to thank VALVe for making Half-Life among other awesome games, Microsoft for making crappy hardware and easy off shells, whoever made the spray paint and paper.

Now I just need a working console to put in there!

UPDATE: If I get a used 360 to put in this one I'm going to make a Borderlands shell (Hopefully with less mistakes!)

I'd like to begin this new series of reviews with a small note,
this was all recorded in a voice...

I'd like to begin this new series of reviews with a small note,
this was all recorded in a voice to text program made in 1996,
The microphone used to record this is an original Rock Band mic.
If you can understand five words from this thing you win.

Now here is the previous paragraph in spoken word.

"Worth of Ireland to begin his new series of reviews last
moment, that is was all reported in New VoiceType tax program
needed 1996, the microphone used to record its use in original
rock band of money if you can understand if I leave were
dismissed the and do we want"

By the way I didn't edit any of the review nor will I. ONTO THE REVIEW!

---Point of no return---

Border Lance is without a doubt one of those best games of the year year.
To begin this review of federal lands I would like to wait a mention of that the court style is perhaps the my favorite stock of support by Oct. perhaps this might have been inspired by crack their own which admittedly is another one of my favorite games. Then the rules of this in perhaps over what more do is these days in the weekend take the brown dress with police blend and turn it into a wonderful beautiful land boom. Unmasked will use the land is in " horrible or walk the barren wastes money Be back here or invasion of the use the war popup but clearly when this is to truly art.

yet to the main selling point is move vast collection of guns and weapons repeat. All of. It really playful solve the incredible amount loaf weapon read in such a way that you could find a new bill on the bed care down almost anywhere pro. Dean alpha therefore main characters breakthroughs Rowland whatever also known as a soldier, Rowland has owes an incredible power were in it he can't say to 80 to correct sentry and the where he walked which are a minute-owned " we used for those difficult to play in the other characters after having that wonderful part will promote the

But Miller remains so one point to this gain was the cold or multiple it. Which almost soon I do not his mind to it into the role in mainly because whose nine out of teen Games 08 tried to in inter Korean to be eating cake out of. I must set a date back in jewelry that too much perhaps it's been fixed cents higher been regained but I'm not sure I want to go back to find out. What I I have much lower the employee had been completely be in the game having completed and remission and see that this scheme does have all walks to offer are probably be the game in one week but then again by a plead Henry single moment are a coat.

And thus lowering intend to in my review cedar on new don't sing trade can say much about the game playing the shooting feels like a man of PS broke when landfills like our Beijing court come to 90 selling. The art style is to was behalf of my words to comment on the musical style of skiing and save that that is pro probably the weakest. Considering the opening has parole will be the best music in the game I can't say much for the rest of the day.

What people I hope this short review his help you decide on the purchase of border when an effort to give it a score of would give it 40 dollars out of 60.

This October is probably the luckiest month of my life in terms of games getting. I can't think of anything to warm up with so just check this stuff out.

Most things I got here from a local vidja games show, or my birthday.
I got that N64 as a gift, it's actually so absolutely complete that it came with papers for the N64 AND a Sega Genesis!

Next up we have an Intellivison system with 8 games, you wanna know how much that cost? FREE. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FREE. I won a drawing at the aforementioned local vidja games show, It was awesome.

Continuing the hubbub about this show, I won second place in a Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters contest. I won the original Gojira, which is really what I wanted most out of the prizes (first place was a couple of Godzilla toys.)

Got a new 360 because my old one died. Strange thing about the arcade, I didn't find/figure out how to get the arcade games working, If somebody could help me out on that I'd be grateful.

And Ending this month's game pickupmedoodles I grabbed a bunch of games for no good reason (Much like you will see next month, hint hint) Zelda, Zelda borderlands.

Now onto the garage sale grabs for this year.

I got Risk LotR so I could replace all of my cannons with goblins while nobody was looking, great find for 2 bucks.

Also found a bunch of crappy CDs (Emo, Nu metal) for 50 cents and proceeded to flip em' at vintage stock for some good music. Cream, Hendrix and Earth... Seriously, if you've never heard of Earth before you're missing out on Cream and Hendrix quality music.

Once again I'd like to thank you for reading through my pointless babble and crappy photography, also my crappy babble and pointless photography.

BACK STORY: Mr. Crowbar (friend) from my "A christmas story" blog saw the grand response from all of you...

STORY: OCT. 22, SOMETIME AROUND 7, GRAND MUMS DINING ROOM.
Mr. Crowbar decided to follow up his christmas gift with another gift designed to piss me off...
I really can't describe my disappointment in story form, so read this list of items crammed in a shoebox and tell me if you could muster the power to fake enthusiasm.

Cough drops
Kool-Aid packs
Sailor Moon DVDs
Dragonball Z VHS
Female fashion magazine
Stack of PS2 demo CDS with occasional Olsen twins game.

The pot of gold at the end of the tunnel was a couple of Castlevania games (Aria of and dawn of sorrow.) He also gave me some DS game cases so... Eh...

Thanks for reading through my horrid grammar and punctuation.

I don't know what all of you do for the Fourth of July, but 'round these here parts, we blow shit up. last year we melted a Batman cereal toy. This year, we're blowing up the guitar from the Christmas story.

First priority is opening the guitar up and taking all the cool stuff out.

Also Mr. Crowbar (The friend from the Christmas story) made a necklace out of some wires and gadgets.

The ammo for this beast will be a thousand firecrackers

I like Excalibur, they're cheaper.

now all we need to do is put the firecrackers in the guitar.

Slight miscalculation

Improvised alternative.

The show must go on!

Now we tape it back into its original guitar shape.

And some minor last minute adjustments.

2 packs of smoke bombs and 2 packs of flashers.

Oh yeah, and if you wanted to see it blow up.
I do this thing on Deviant Art (Ugh...) where I listen to music and warp my art into different art. I really don't know what else to say about them so here are a few pieces to gander at... I picked out a Fable batch just for this.

I just got back from a long day of running around doing errands and have a story to tell.

We have a thrift store here in unspecified city, that we often donate old crap that we don't want (We being everybody) So while I was waiting for everything to be unloaded, I saw a big stack of VHS tapes, next to it were 8 games.

I heard somebody say they were all ONE DOLLAR (Yes, in all caps) so I had to get them. of course I checked the games to make sure they were all legit and in good condition. A Jack II case had a sports game in it and another one had a sports music CD... (Insert sigh of disappointment.)

All and all I ended up getting CoD 3, Ghost Recon: Jungle Warfare, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, ATV Off Road Fury, Killzone Liberation, and Tak 2 for $6.54

Now is the moment I mention that I don't even have a single Sony console, which most of these games were for. What did I do with them then? Game stop.
So now I got $17.96 on a gift card and am planning to get an edge card... Life's good.

For those who will no doubt be angry for some reason, I'm going to try forethought and hope to disarm your anger at me, for everybody else, no need to continue reading.

One thing that you might be angry at me for is taking advantage of the thrift store, please remember that I donated some stuff that they will no doubt get money for, the games were all donated, and all of the money and stuff that I gave to them goes to helping alcoholics, how can you get angry at people that help other people? what's wrong with you?

Feel free to tell me my spelling/grammar/punctuation sucks and I'm ugly, I won't cry.

A christmas story

Well, I don't really know where to start when it comes to bloggin' so I'll just start with a short...

Well, I don't really know where to start when it comes to bloggin' so I'll just start with a short story about Guitar Hero II, Bioshock, and Christmas.

One day long ago, a friend of mine came over and we played Guitar hero. We both play on expert and it's just about the only game I can beat him every time at. So we were playing on a rather big HD flat screen, and I noticed some lag. We then played YYZ and HE won... He started screaming "I'M THE GOD OF ROCK!" I then kicked him (Or tackled him, I don't remember.)

Fast forward to Christmas when he actually got me something nice!

Needless to say I thanked him quite a bit... then he said "Open it."
...I did...

Okay, I forgot to mention he's a huge jerk... So I take the CDs away to see if Bioshock was even in there aaaaand...

...HUGE JERK
But he gave me the game the next day so I do owe him something nice. That's all I've got... Not much for a first post, but it works I guess. (Feel free to tell me what I did wrong)
