Yup,

As of last Tuesday I was fully infested with a nasty 'ol upper respiratory bug... & I swear that one of the things that kept me from going crazy was spelunking the forums. Especially the Contest & Free Stuff forum, yes I am a freebie whore... But not only are there some really great finds but I think for me it's more about the community. Their are a lot of awesome people that frequent it & quite a few that I in my personal *opinion I feel the forum would not be what it is if it were not for them.

Thank you for helping make my sick days awesome!

Now onto my favorite game of the moment, HALO REACH!!!

I had me plenty o' time to get into grabbing me a vast majority of achievements & challenges, now up to 75%! Grabbed my 1st weekly & couple others in firefight with my wife & buddy. :D

Still working on my Bulltrue in living dead, I want that helmet!

Now to my random gripe...

Today was my 1st day back to work. I am a Technology Manager for a small non-profit organization for the arts & media in northern Cali (yes I caps'ed my title... It makes me feel special :booty:), well back to the point...

Well, we have these computers I built for a bunch of kids who can't afford to buy crazy setup to audio & video edit. It also provides them a safe environment besides the crappy streets here.

Our audio & video editing group known as 'MARZ' (Media and Arts Resource Zone), decided that they wanted Abelton for audio editing, which in my personal *opinion is not to shabby of a program to do it with... Well here ya go for the managerial side of things...

THE ACTIVATION METHOD SUX

Here are my reasons why (*opinion)...

1.) Once installed, you have to activate the software per user account; Yes the new installer insists it does this but it does not, or at least properly.

I contacted Abelton which upon response I received the following solution:

To activate the program per user account you need to manually copy & paste the activation file. Dude, can anyone say ROI based on time? Especially for an average non-prof with no IT support...

Luckily they have me & I don't mind doing tedious crap like this, but hell... Come on... I am not a 133t programmer in any way... I dabble a little... But seriously, this is the answer to doing a multi-user activation?

Yeah I understand that it helps to keep out pirates but geeze dudes what about the end user... :-k

Alright, enough rant & time to get off of the fucking soapbox...

Well thanks again my fellow CAG Contest & Free Stuff peeps, Halo, & a big fuck you to Ableton! ;)

Also, I will never buy a game again until I check CAG for prices. Damn, that should be an anthem we have to agree to or something... lolz

*editors note: now remember, "opinions are like...", google it!
