I have a Saturday off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will probably still go to work because overtime pay is nice, but alas its nice having the option to stay home one Saturday if I feel the need. This weekend if the weather permits my wife and I have secured a sitter for our boys and we're going to attempt our yearly visit to the local Drive In movie. I always like going once a year, this weekend its the new Star Trek and I am unsure of the 2nd movie because the first movie is Star Trek.

I finished up Tomb Raider last night. Had a blast playing the game, loved the Lost-Esque storyline, loved the character development of Lara Croft throughout the course of the game. Like the Zelda/Metroid elements added to the game. It also felt like I was playing an Uncharted game, which is not a bad thing. I paid 24.99 for this game on a Steam Sale and it's well worth that and more, below is a screen shot I took while playing


I picked up the TellTale games Walking Dead stories off the Amazon steam sale for 9.99. I own episodes 1 and 2 on xbox already but this seemed like a good buy and I don't mind starting over. Going to start that this weekend and outside of that continue exploring the new content added by the Guild Wars 2 patch. I don't think anyone who reads this plays Guild Wars 2 but if your interested in trying it, this weekend is free trial weekend. Give it a go :D

First I want to start off with a shout out to fellow CAG Grrouchie. Many of you are CAG Blogs readers so I assume you've seen his blog and he is now engaged. Congrats to you Grrouchie, one of the happiest days of my life was when I became engaged, live it up and enjoy it!

I picked up Tomb Raider on the steam sale last week. That game was worth 25 dollars and then some. I am having just as much fun playing this as I was playing Bioshock. The game has a very "LOST" vibe to it. A lot of similarities to that show I am seeing in this game. My first thought when buying this game was, will it even compare to Uncharted? I would put this game on Uncharted levels of action-adventure platforming awesome. I'll be spending some more time with Ms. Croft this weekend. I will also squeeze in some Gears Judgement.

As per usual most of my gaming time will be spent in the land of Tyria as I continue my quest for a Legendary Weapon in Guild Wars 2. I have come to the conclusion that MMORPG players like to stand out in anyway possible in the game. Since a Legendary Weapon is the biggest shiny in the game I naturally have to have one. Others find different ways to stand out. Take this guy for example, he is just hanging out by the bank in the main city on the game looking all creepy and shit .

This weekend is the Kentucky Derby. All kinds of cool events and stuff to do around Louisville, Kentucky this time of year. Going to take the kiddos to some of the stuff around the town tonight and this weekend I will be celebrating 5 years of marriage to Mrs Jangles. We celebrate with Taco Bell and Iron Man 3, that's love.

Last weekend I said I was going to try Rift. My first impressions was it felt like a WoW expansion. Maybe if I hadn't played WoW for hundreds and hundreds of hours I could have liked Rift but the entire time I was playing I kept questioning why I just didn't reactivate my WoW account and go gear my character towards max item level instead of playing this. So Rift entered with a fizzle and left much of the same way.

Speaking of WoW clones, the temptation to reactivate my Star Wars: The Old Republic account is real. I never got a max level character on that game despite buying it at launch. I may download it and give it another go just because my love of Star Wars may allow me to see past the barrier WoW has put over me for rotation based MMORPGS.

Gaming this weekend its going to be...Guild Wars 2. The new dungeon they added is great and sadly its only here until May 12th before its gone. Going to run it a couple times with some guildmates and of course we do our Guild Bounties on the weekends. Outside of Guild Wars 2 I will continue playing Gears Judgement. Gears fans absolutely hate that game and I can see why but it doesn't bother me enough to not play it until the next Gears comes out.

As far as single player ventures go I am very close to pulling the trigger on Fay Cry 3 Blood Dragon. Anyone here playing it? Is it worth the 14.99?

umm...really?

You could say I'm a fairly big fan of the mmo genre. I like to try new ones that come out, or old ones that got a lot of praise. Yesterday tempted by the raptr offer of a free month of game time and free expansion pack I took Rift for a spin. I played it until about level 10 yesterday and what stood out was the open world rift that opened and launched me in a public party of 17 people at level 6. You don't normally get good group content in mmos until much later in your leveling so that was appealing to me. Sadly outside of the Rift nothing else really stood out to me. Typical WoW Combat, check. Quest hubs with a lot of fetch this kill x of this, check. Obviously playing for 2 hours and getting to level 10 isn't enough time to judge an mmo but initial impressions say that I am playing World of Warcraft: Rift.

Outside of trying my hand at Rift, I'll continue playing what I consider to be the best mmo on the market right now Guild Wars 2. Readers of this blog know of my love for that game, and hell it's been the "game I'm playing" almost every week since October when I picked it up. Can't seem to get enough. I will also try my hand at finishing Bioshock Infinite if time permits. Gears Judgement I will try to see Level 50.

Lastly thanks to everyone who nominated and voted for me in the CAG Blog of the Year thread. I know a lot of the time my blog is little more than forum posts, but I love talking to you guys every week and through this community I've met some interesting people to chat with on and off twitter about games. I've played some games with some of you and it's been a blast. Thanks to everyone!

Me this morning doing my best Darth Vader as my computer wouldn't power on. PSU died. Going to have to order a new one. Woe is me. Had to order a new one prob wont be here for a good 5 days or so. Luckily I have a backup, my wifes laptop to keep my Guild Wars 2 addiction satiated. However I was knee deep in Infinite and now its on pause until my new psu arrives. :( Bah.

Every once in awhile I like to post some pictures of my kids. I really started blogging here when my youngest son Tristan was born. It's only fitting that I show CAG how much they've grown.

On Monday I received a phone call from my Mom to bring the kids up. She had a mega surprise for Tristan. My son Tristan is obsessed with the Disney show Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He loves pirates in general but that show pushed his pirate obsession over the edge. All time you can find us in the back yard getting our pirate playtime on(I'm normally Captain Hook)

So now that the background is established you can imagine Tristans(and mine) shock when we pull into his MiMi's house and see this in their backyard.

Needless to say my kid went bonkers. We spent the next few hours sailing the high seas that day. It was good times. One day at my work my wife sent me this picture of our youngest son Lucas at the baby sitters house.

I being the semi-comicbook nerd I am could envision one thing when I saw this picture. The Kingpin. Wilson Fisk. From hence forth I now call my son Lucas Fisk. I made this crappy picture using Microsoft Paint much to my wife's displeasure.

I can tell you that 3 years ago I wasn't ready to be a father. Sure my wife and I had planned to have our sons. It wasn't a whoopsie or anything but mentally I wasn't there. As every day drew closer I just remember thinking...I am going to be responsible for something more than just myself. I don't think anything in the world can prepare you for becoming a parent. But that morning in the hospital room, I was changed. The first time I held my son all my fears were suddenly gone. Here was this little life 100 percent dependent on us. Here was this little person who was mine. I can say that was the best day of my life. The day I became a Father.

TLDR: I kind of rambled here about my kids. Below is a some weekend gaming.

This weekend I am going to be playing Bioshock Infinite. I'm not very far in the game despite Steam saying I have clocked 8 Hours. I am really enjoying the game but I will say if I am to compare this to Bioshock 1 that I enjoyed the introduction to Rapture more so than the introduction to New Columbia. Both settings are immersive though. I love this game series.

Outside of Infinite I will continue playing Guild Wars 2, so close but yet so far to that Legendary weapon. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel though. I actually think I may have my Legendary before July! Also some more Starcraft 2.

Well Last weekend I made an attempt at renting Bioshock Infinite to play the game before an accidental spoiler finds its way to me. I started the game played it for around 2 hours and took it back to the redbox. Not because it wasn't good, oh no I was immersed. I took it back because a speed run rental will not do that game Justice. I want to explore every nook, cranny, inch of Columbia. I want to take my time and listen to the NPCs have their conversations find all the audio logs on my own. Needless to say I am going to be buying Bioshock Infinite in the near future. The question remains on PC or XBox 360? I know people hate this but I am going to list my PC Specs and if a more knowledgeable PC Gamer could tell me if my computer would run this ok I may just spring for the PC Version.

I really like playing single player games on the PC More these days so here's to hoping ole Edwin can handle Infinite. No PC Demo or I would have taken the hands on approach myself.

As For gaming this weekend, I will be jamming Guild Wars 2. The Super Adventure Box they added for April is awesome. I just finished up all the achievements on it and unlocked the title. Running it to unlock some of the cool retro weapon skins that you can get in the game, but outside of that the quest for a Legendary Weapon continues. Made it to Silver League in 2v2s on Starcraft 2 this week. After winning 3 matches in a row as top 8 in bronze my buddy and I were bumped into Silver League where we have last every single match. Going to try and improve our strategy a bit this weekend on that game.

Also I may try to squeeze in some Diablo 3, phew. Busy gaming weekend. Outside of gaming I plan on taking my oldest son to this giant LEGO Expo coming to town. I don't really like the pricing structure or the fact they limit the amount of time you can be there, but he will have a blast so off we go.

Happy Holiday weekend to those of you fortunate enough to be off work today. Enjoy the 3 day weekend. For me its a 2 day weekend no work this Saturday :D Going to take the kiddos to see the creepiest holiday mascot of all time tonight(I will post a picture if I deem it classic enough) and preparing for all the fun things you do with kids on Easter. Having kids sometimes means you get to act like a little kid again yourself. It's hard work but it pays off in dividends as far as fun factor goes.

Gaming wise I am back to playing Guild Wars 2 a lot. Working towards a Legendary weapon, still a long ways off but it will happen one day. I used to joke and say I wouldn't have a Legendary before my son turned 4 years old(July 13th) that joke is starting to become reality. I also noticed more so than in any other video game you simply run into the weirdest of the weird in MMOs. Someone explain to me what the actual fuck this is, I was in tears when I saw this dude. Outside of that I am now 5-18 in Starcraft 2, maybe I won't be Forever Bronze afterall in 2v2 matches. Gears Judgement will see some playing time as well.

Bah! First Saturday of the year I have to work. Hello working every Saturday until November :cry::cry: Like many of you I will be partaking in the viewing of as many college basketball games as I can this weekend. I don't have a dog in this fight this year (Thanks Kentucky Wildcats) so Im just going to sit back and enjoy the ride. Outside of that my son has a recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle obsessions so my days are filled with eating pizza and fighting the footclan. Gotta love children ;)

Game wise I am chugging along in the Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty campaign. 15/29 missions so far really digging the story. I don't remember much of Starcraft1/Brood War but I do remember Kerrigan and Raynor who could forget that memorable mission when the Queen of Blades was born. I will say Starcraft 2 at times does a good job at reminding you of the events of SC1. I have ventured into 2v2 multiplayer with my buddy and as to be expected we just get flat out hammered. We are learning though and finally won our first match the other night.

Outside of Starcraft 2 I will continue the Gears of War Judgement campaign and I may hop on Guild Wars 2. Kind of put Guild Wars 2 on the backburner until the patch dropping this Tuesday.

I went to Target on Wednesday and I left with Gears of War Judgement. Extremely blurry picture of my son holding it here. Ive played a few matches of Free For All and not much else, let one of my fellow CAG buddies who had a day off borrow the game yesterday. Ill be spending most of the weekend jamming on that.

Outside of Judgement I am going to attempt to play through the campaign of Starcraft 2. Trying to get into the online multiplayer and hopefully campaign will help ease the steep learning curve a bit. Terran is the race I would play as anyway so im looking to learn about the units and what not through campaign mode. I'll also squeeze in some Guild Wars 2 time.

No update on my gaming weekend from last week. Had 2 sick kiddos on my hands. One with Strep and the other with a normal cold. My wife ended up at the ER and I was sick myself a couple of days. It was a blah time at the Janglers household, but we are back and ready to go. This weekend is the Louisville Video Game EXPO, website HERE. I plan on stopping by Saturday Night where they will be showing Zach Coopers Epic SpeedRun premiere. I am looking forward to checking this movie out. Any Louisville Cags plan on attending this expo? I went last year and it was a blast. Tons of old pinball and arcade machines set on freeplay, snes mario kart tournament, n64 smash brothers tournament , it was a good time.

When I am not at the expo I will be playing Guild Wars 2 and shaking the rust off in Gears of War 3 as I prepare for Gears of War Judgement. Just hit lvl 80 on my third character in GW2 and may start leveling a thief next. Also plan on checking out the new living story update.

This weekend the Carl Casper auto show comes to Louisville, Kentucky. While I could care less, my 3 year old would enjoy it so I may venture over there for his sake. As for gaming, Guild Wars 2 is on the plate. Going to try and raise my Fractal level to 20. And *gasp* I'm going to play something else. Going to load up DC Universe Online with some buddies. I haven't played the game since it was free so I'll pay 15 bucks and load up a Green Lantern type hero and see how that game is doing.

Well I could keep writing this each week and saying hey my son Lucas is 7 weeks old this week! But that would get old for you guys, I remember before I had kids I was like "why do people post so many pictures of their kids on facebook" Now that I have kids I'm all "ERMAHGERD TRISTAN IS WEARING A FUCKING PIRATE HAT ON HIS HEAD HONEY POST THAT SHIT ON FACEBOOK!" So I'll try to refrain from annoying you guys about my kids.

On the gaming front, I am borrowing one of my buddies WiiUs this weekend to take it for a test drive before I buy one. I get tech lust pretty heavily so I am sure 2 days of WiiU will make me buy it. Does the WiiU upscale old wii games like does Skyward Sword look prettier on the WiiU? Outside of WiiU it's Guild Wars 2! Any CAGS that read this play?

What's up CAG? I have been away from awhile. In my absence this little guy was born.

We had a scare after him being home for just a week with RSV virus. He was hospitalized at a children's hospital near me and was there for 10 days. January was a pretty scary month. My little guy is at home and healthy and well. The family is back together and I can resume my normal life of doing absolutely nothing!

Today I turn 27 years old what better way to celebrate than with video games? I will be playing Guild Wars 2 all weekend. Working on the Dungeon Master title in the game. Just Arah Paths to go and I finished that up. Also leveling a 3rd character right now. Game is an addiction.
Shout out to ZXT Vendetta and Danimal, thanks for filling in guys and thanks to everyone who gave me and my family their well wishes while everything was going on. I appreciate all of you.
