Good, solid game. Not great. - A Uncharted 2: Among Thieves review by Buried On Mars
This game is a beautiful to look at. The lighting and visuals are stunning. When you walk through the snow, it looks like you are walking THROUGH the snow. Trust me, I'm Canadian. But, as for the amazing reviews about the story and game play, I couldn't disagree more.

The story is bad episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and I was not even a fan of the good ones) with the characters spewing out smarmy sarcasm between breaths that is really not witty, just sarcastic. I didn't find Nathan Drake appealing during the first game and he didn't do anything throughout part two to change my opinion. I really don't understand why he is the "good guy" when his only motivation is money and he kills just as many people as the "bad guy".

The game play is more Tomb Raider/Sands of Time climbing with Gears of War running and gunning just like the first one and still not nearly as fun. When it does do something a little unique like the challenging boss fight towards the end it follows it up with a lame escape sequence that is as old as the first Metroid.

As with the first Uncharted this is a good game, its just not great and not the reason to buy a PS3. It is fun for one run through but really nothing more.
