That's strange. It takes me about 20 minutes to set up a Live account in a foreign language using a 360 controller (no keyboard!). I'm not sure how you took two hours... maybe you could share the problems you encountered to help others?

And don't forget to grab the resolution user mod for Dark Souls to run it in proper-like resolution, innit!

Despite getting to NG+ on one account and to the library on another on 360, and also having a lot of games like Borderlands 2 and Dragon's Dogma on my to-buy list, I couldn't hold out... I bought a $30 boxed copy of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die. And I'm SO HAPPY! In fact... what am I doing here? -> Dark Souls
