Well, for one I don't go to Walmart. I figured the cheapest keyboard I could get would be about $20-$30 anyway. I've considered it but then anything wired won't work - too long of a distance and that is just asking for trouble with the little ones. Actually, any keyboard is. They tend to destroy them

It would be nice to hook up a keyboard for entering all those Borderlands 2 Shift codes though. In any case, my son wanted the chat pad and it was essentially free so I'm not complaining. I got a nice headset out of it that I can use too instead of the really old wired ones from my original 360 purchase.
