Usually, I enjoy downloadable games way more than retail because there's so much more room for creativity. None of my friends IRL are like that though, so it's nice to know there are others out there like me.

Wii-U might be in your future, then. Destructoid had an article about how developers will be able to set their own prices for games on the eShop versus having to charge premiums, and will be able to patch releases for free - two of the biggest complaints small developers have had about developing on PSN/XBL versus Steam. They'll also be able to put a game on sale when they choose, and we all know Nintendo is terrible about having sales on digital stuff.
