Holy Motors- It's fun and interesting. I've had a day to think about it and I don't think there is any specific underlying message to the film. I was wondering if it was going to somehow hit me after the movie like say El Topo did (that movie messed with my emotions starting like 15 minutes after the movie ended. Never did I go through a mixture of laughs, sadness, joy and something in between). So I think Holy Motors is just there to be weird and out there. I did notice I was enjoying the sound effects during quiet moments. They just massaged my ear drum the right way. Main actor was superb objectively speaking.
If you do like it check out "Tokyo!" (2008). It features the green leprechaun character and then there is this awesome movie about a girl that turns into a chair. It's a collection of 3 shorter films. I liked it more than Holy Motors.
