More so based on the packaging (dings, bend, crease, etc). Anything from very good to like new is a close to a safe bet (some rare instances it hasn't been). Amazon grades items from acceptable, good, very good, to like new and are usually pretty accurate if not exaggerating when describing some of the "flaws". For more here is the quote from OP:
