I truly hope it doesn't come to revoking keys, that would be too messy, but also I don't count on the rest of the keys to be provided, I don't see any intention at all of doing that.

Problem is, it doesn't matter what they do, if they do what you say they are doing to avoid hurting, yeah, they won't hurt economically, as much, yet, their reputation is pretty much gone, aside a few hard core fanbrats, not saying you are one btw, your statement sound pretty centered.

Also I don't see them recovering from this, I mean, if it had been a single one, maybe, but it has been one f****p after the other after the other on this month alone, and the way they have handled it, I mean, what good is it that tomorrow they offer COD Total Collection for 50 cents if there is literally no guarantee they won't remove stuff from your account at their own whim?

It's funny, I almost never want to backpedal any choice I make, but now it surely sounds like a good idea to have spent 25 on steam on a single game, the one I wanted, that 28 on a dubious site on a pack of games chances are I'm not getting ever. At this point in time, I just want things to remain as they are, to let it go, and never put my foot on that place, ever again.
Well, my suspicion is most of the people who will never shop at GG again are the ones who either never shopped there before or only shopped there to take advantage of a glitch, so their real user base will hopefully not be too affected by this issue. FWIW, any digital retailer can revoke your right to play something if they want to, just most let us live blissfully in the lie we own something.

I have no problem talking about GamersGate in here though. They deserve it. Intentional or not (and I obviously don't think this fiasco was "intentional") the place is pure Amateur Hour and has becoming a running joke of "What's tonight's mistakes going to be?". Their communication skills are horrendous and their "Permanent never meant permanent" response to the IGN debacle earned them nothing but contempt.

So I'm completely comfortable discussing them as a retailer here. It's not as though they keep me up at night or I'm lashing out at my children due to GG-induced rage; this is the GamersGate thread so it seems appropriate enough especially since these issues are all in the context of their "sales" and "deals". If it seems that people are being particularly harsh towards them, you reap what you sow.

I suppose we all have our limits though since I find the "lawsuit" talk to be the same ridiculous chatter that comes up whenever the internet gets mad at something, complete with people furiously Wiki'ing up legal info for the Internet Lawyer Bar Exam.
I'm definitely not trying to silence anyone, police what they want to say, or put words in their mouths. Just thought I'd chime in since there seemed to be an overwhelmingly one sided thing going on. I really do think anyone who needs a refund will be getting one, it might just take a little bit to do so. Most people are used to calling CS and demanding a refund instantly so they are freaking out at having to wait a few days for it.
