+1 for the shocking lack of "shout" chat in general for FFXIV ver. 1... whatever it was last year.
<- Legacy member btw. Was a bit of a shock to go from FFXI to FFIV. Almost non of the experiance translated over. Really hoping FFXIV 2.0 can pull it off. In terms of paying for subs, if it has the same "magic" that FFXI has/had, i for one would have no problem signing (back) up.
FFXI did so many things right, it's a shame to see what happened to its "successor". FF was not for everyone. The community that loved it is filled with a lot of die-hards and that speaks volumes for the game. People want FFXIV to succeed so much that it has been given more leeway than most products can afford. So please continue to show your support for FFXIV and encourage the dev team to polish ^^
