There used to be scammers with new accounts listing mutiple copies of games for half retail cost on release week.

On cag somebody linked a listing for Crysis 2 for $30 for mutiple copies on release day. It was pretty obvious these were never gonna be fulfulled as the account had zero history at that point. The guy sold a ton of copies and in all likelihood transferrred his funds before eBay caught on.
