The way the store still sells the merchandise is they mark it "as is" which automatically drops the price drastically based on the original price of the item. Other ways items get marked AS IS, is that they were bought online and returned to the store and the item is only sold on the website, the item was opened and the store thinks they can still make money off of it, or the item was a floor model.
