That's how I do it, and I've never had an issue with any device that used the 'snap on' spindle. I'd say I have less issues with them, as the disc doesn't shift inside, even if the device is bumped, so it doesn't scratch. I'm pretty sure this is the
correct method (if there is one) since the 'snap on' spindles usually have like a button on them to release the disc when you press the spindle with your index finger.
