Super easy to combat resellers at your yard sales, if you are running a yard sale and you get people that are obvious resellers (run up to your sale and ask for games) then just tell them you have to look up the price of the item on ebay before you decide how much you want to sell it for. Sit there with a laptop or a smartphone. That should put them in their place.
I have a dirtier tactic I would like to try. Have a friend or family member run a sale the same day that there is one that advertises games. Start at the same time and make your ad more enticing, so your competition starts at your sale while you hit the good sale.
You could also have them purposely delay bringing out the games and/or say "come back later since the game person isn't here".
I would do it, but I don't want my nemesis to know where I live in case things get ugly on the road.
