I did that on my Paragon playthrough. From a logical standpoint I was forced to agree with the Salarian councilor that the genophage cure was too dangerous to allow. It broke my heart to betray Mordin and Wrex though. That was probably the best "role playing" moment in the series for me-- I actually agonized over the choice, it didn't just come down to whether I wanted blue points vs. red points. Amazing writing.
