Appshopper has an article about alternatives to the iOS 6 Maps app. I've heard good things about Mapquest. In fact I have it, but haven't launched it for quite some time. It's since added turn-by-turn voice navigation and all that good stuff. Probably worth a shot, at least.

King Cashing: Slots Adventure has gone free for the 2nd time. It's fun for a while:

I have used MapQuest almost exclusively. It works well but the maps are streamed, not stored locally. I've used it on several trips without any issues though and won't be dropping it anytime soon.

not sure if it was mentioned here or not, but Scout had a free 1 yr sale going on. I've barely used it, but it might be a good alternative to ios 6 maps.

Yea it's great. I use it everyday. I treat it like a game and am trying to get into the top scorer leaderboards. 1500 away from reaching Waze Knight. Friend me and help me out! My handle is Chrono Gear.

Haha, I tried Scout the other day and it was awful. This was in a major city (DC) on a route that I was somewhat familiar with, but could use some additional guidance on for the exact turns. It kept telling me to turn on streets that were nowhere near where I was (I mean, in a relative sense, they were in the same area of the city, but they weren't connected to the road I was on). In the cases where it did get it right, it kept giving me directions late -- after I had already made the turn (for turns that I knew), or after I'd already driven past it. It looks like a nice app if they ever get everything working, but right now I wouldn't trust it or recommend it.

Crap, Sword & Sworcery EP went back to its regular price. I'm relatively new to the iOS gaming scene, so I was wondering -- will it go on sale again anytime soon or was that it?

Anyone know if there are any sites that track app prices similar to the ones that track steam prices? Would be useful for cases like this.

I grabbed the micro version of S&S even though i haven't played it, I know I will. Even though I have the PC version already from an indie bundle.

Super Hexagon is another game that people might want to pick up before it goes up to its normal price.

Super Hexagon is a flash game with terrible controls. Would have liked it were the controls tighter.

And I think Sworcery is overrated garbage and a waste of your money and time.

yea, use appshopper. in addition to getting to have a wishlist and get sale updates, their site shows price history too.
