Tempted to get the PC version of XCOM Enemy Unknown (it's showing it is the special edition) and Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector Edition on 360, but I don't know if I trust Newegg to not damage the latter item during shipment. As far as XCOM, I don't think the special edition is quite "special" enough.

I think you just had to have bought a game that actually shipped out already. Mine came because I bought Madden.

My email also mentioned Last Story. Thanks for the heads up on that Wii-U Pro controller, I wouldn't have thought to try that.

Well, I gotta say the vast majority of professional journalists who have written/talked about Rayman Legends say its better than NSMBU - more intuitive use of the gamepad, better visuals, more personality, etc. And the end-consumers like you and me who have played them both at various exhibitions have said it is better, too.

Still, its Mario. Of course I'm going to choose it over some other platformers! (Though for the record I have pre-ordered both.)

Just ordered the pro controller. I would get mario as well but i want that on release day when i get my console so I'll just pick it up then when i pickup my preorder console.

Correct. Mine said the code was given to me for Tekken Tag Tournament. I don't think it matters if you have a thousand games preordered. Most likely, you have to actually have had any game bought and shipped.

Well it looks like there are only 3 options here...

1.) Buy something and see if they give you access to the code...although that kind of defeats the purpose of saving $12.

2.) They have had a $12 off, $15 off and now a "restricted" $12 off again....so we'll probably see another promo sale down the line (hopefully in mid-late OCT before the bigger titles release)....aka wait for the next sale.

3.) Join/re-join the mailing list and hope that it allows for a fix within 24 hours....

Luckily, I jumped on these deals before and have most of my 2012 games pre-ordered. It's the end of 2012/early 2013 stuff that has me a bit worried....

I also grabbed a Wii U Pro controller. Great idea. $50 was a bit spendy, but at $38 I'm in.
