Lundqvist was superhuman in my game as well, I peppered the crap out of him and had some amazing chances. I thought for sure I would score on him several times... he stopped everything. I think I held the CPU to a handful of shots, the post saved me several times and took it to OT tied at 0 with me a man down. I was able to kill off the penalty however late in OT Gaborik got a shot off and beat Backstrom to take the win.

I enabled CPU on the one game I have left, I thought we were advancing the game period last night so hopefully it carries over to the coming games as well. I'll continue to check until I need to leave for the Airport in case N8rockerasu gets a chance to forward the schedule. Also does anyone know if I would be able to set it to CPU via the ios App?

Don't think you can. Seems like trading is the only "action" you can take on the ios app.

Maybe there should be some kind of rule that if you have any unplayed games by the last night of the deadline you should set your team to CPU controlled or something. Just a thought, I know two of the teams I played this schedule were never really on at all. I hate playing the CPU as much as all of you but I still would rather play them than have the game simmed.

Yeah, sorry. I should have done that last night (usually I do it in the mornings, but wasn't thinking about your situation). I just advanced us now. If you're long gone, I'll just boot you and re-invite you when you get back. Since we don't have actual "coaches" in NHL, that shouldn't make any difference.

EA really couldn't make it any more complicated though. In Madden, not only can the commissioner put anybody on "auto pilot" at any time...but if does carry over to multiple games. I don't know why the NHL team felt it was a good idea to have to set it for every single individual game.

EDIT - Actually, wait...maybe it does carry over because Dallas, Edmonton, and NYR are still showing up as potential CPU games on my schedule (with my other 2 games being against Columbus...that's 5 CPU games for me, lol...though I'm sure at least one of the others will want to play), and I know both of them talked about putting some games on auto pilot. I don't play Minnesota though, so I can't confirm. Can anybody who plays the Wild take a look at that? Also, it seems this is the last chance we get to sign free agents according to the in-game message.

Wow...it looks like I lost both of my simmed games against St. Louis. He had them set as able to play the CPU, but I tried to offer him a time to play them. Then, our schedules just didn't work out yesterday, and the thought of me just playing them against the CPU made me feel bad. But losing both sims is really shitty. Once again, illustrating why this full schedule garbage was a terrible idea. So, now people who just don't want to play their games are overtaking me in the standings (not specifically you, sendme. There's a few teams this is happening with). That seems fair.

Not to seem like an idiot but were do you even find the current general "Free Agent" players to pick from. On my GM options that "Free Agent" option I have cant be highlighted to be be picked. I just figured that would be available for me to pick when the season was over to sign my own free agents.

Oh, it can. You just have to feather your button press because the menu is designed so horribly, it will skip over it. Yes, I'm being totally serious. It usually takes me at least 4-5 tries to actually get to the free agent menu.

Yeah, like I said, it's just a terrible design decision to force people to play an 82 game schedule. It brings in so many added variables that make you feel like you're not even in control of your team. Honestly, I've been so disappointed with this year's game, I'd fire the entire development team and start over. It's pathetic to say, but I think people from the Madden team could provide more innovative ideas at this point. The new skating engine is great, but everything around it is inconsistent and sloppy.

Now I feel like more of an idiot because I swear I tried to click on it one night for like 2 minutes when I couldnt figure out where the free agents were. I thought they would just be listed between the Jets and the Ducks ont the roster pages like they used to be in previous games.

Sorry we couldn't get a time set. I was on at the time we had talked about, but didn't check CAG to see that things had changed. When I did I was getting ready to head out. I really hate simulating the games even though all but one of my wins are from simulated games. The full scheduled is a pain and the fact that we have to fit the games into a week. I think out of all my games I have been able to play 3 people and 2 others we tried to get a time going but it just never worked out. Hopefully the next time we are scheduled to play we can get a time set up.

EDIT: Not to sound like an idiot, but how does free agent work. I never kept up with how the contracts worked as a kid and I just started to get back into watching hockey last year. Also I never even seen the free agent menu in the game.

I also have to say the menu system in this game sucks. I created a player and was simulating to the games that I could play. When the game came up it would not stop simulating and half of them didn't even show as a game I would be playing. I don't know how many times I pressed Y to get it to stop.

Speaking of my created player. I created a goaltender and every the puck comes close the system slows down. Does this happen to anyone else?

lol...I don't think expecting something logical makes you an idiot. I don't even know if they've explained why the menu just jumps over "free agents" because pretty much everyone I've talked to says the same as you...that it gives the appearance that it is locked and cannot be selected. That's just how good of a job they did with this game.

Yeah, it's totally not your fault. I'm the one who had to miss the time we talked about. That's why I didn't feel right just playing them against the CPU. I was at least hoping for a split though, lol.

With it being two games it would have been nice. Hell every time I have to simulate the games I simulate both teams instead of playing the CPU, but I think that only works for the teams that don't have a GM or am I wrong on this. I would rather simulate the full game than to play the CPU. I just feel like we have a 50/50 chance that way.

You're one to talk why didn't you set your team to cpu so i could play it out i been on all week and sent you several msgs that went unreplied to and i set our game to cpu this morning when it should've been simmed yet you some how find the time to play it out...
