Don't feel bad. I just lost to CPU Columbus 2-1, outshooting them 25-15...on a backhanded flip from the slot in OT. I don't even know what to do with this game anymore. Part of me hopes that too many players get hurt that the game just pops up a message that says "Sorry. You Do Not Have Enough Players To Continue Your League. Have A Great Summer! K Luv U Bye!"

CPU Columbus beat me, too, at least in 1 of the 2 games. I have been fortunate to not have any major injuries so far. Hopefully saying that doesn't jinx me.

I have to agree to some point with ajh2298. I think all should be set to play CPU, but every attempt made to set up a time that works. If both players can not set up a time to play then the player that can be on the last night should play the CPU. If no one for the two teams can be on the last night/day then the day before. That way the game can be played against the CPU and not simulated. This is all based on every attempt to set up a time and play is made. I'm sure with most of us it is understood that things will come up an cause a time to change, but if a time can be set up and plaid it should. If nothing can be then both players should agree on a day that one can play the CPU. I would prefer it to be the last day just in case something can be set up last minute.
I do however hope that the comment ajh2298 made was not directed at Matt Young and Canbanana. They are two of the people that I have been able to set up a time and have worked the best they could to set a time that worked for me. I'm sure they both have done the same for everyone else that they have played.

The last time I was to play Matt he didn't show up as being online for me. I saw the GM of Phoenix was playing LA however for matt it said offline. It happened with Canbanana also. I was about to sign off when he sent me a message about playing. So I don't always go by the list of league members now.
Hell I'm still trying to figure out how I got a DNF when I played all my games till they were finished. EDIT:

I believe I mentioned that I am not usually on later at night and I asked if you could play earlier. I guess you were not able to do so. But yes, the 3 hour time difference didn't help either of us.
It's not that big of a deal- just one game for me. But I really wanted to try to beat up on the Canucks a little bit. |

Well, that makes sense. In my second game against CPU Columbus, I outshot them 24-16...and I won 6-0, lol. WTF, EA?
As for everyone basically setting themselves to potential CPU play at all times, I don't hate the idea. The problem would come if somebody "accidentally" played a game because they couldn't remember which teams didn't have an owner. Having everyone set to CPU does make my job easier though since that's something I have no control over (other than booting the person from the league...which as I said before, I don't want to be doing all the time). At the end of the day though, we're all just trying to make the best of a bad situation, but I do feel that minimizing the number of sims would be ideal. While I don't think it's necessarily fair to just reward the people with the most free time, I think it's even worse to have somebody take a loss when they could have played the game. The policy would have to be something like no vs CPU games allowed until the day of the deadline (not including vacant teams). And EVERY effort must be made to set up a time with the person before going that route. If they give you permission to just play the CPU, that's different. But in general, people still need to be communicating to schedule times to play. None of this is ideal, but hopefully it'll address some of these problems that we've been running into. Now, if we could just do something about injuries. |

What is the CPU set at again for difficulty? Also just curious JZA, earlier in the week you said you were going to be on between 12:30 and 2 (or 2:30 don't remember) and then 3/3:30 and 4:30. Did you end up getting on most of those days? I ask after someone made the comment about people not showing up online. I got on each day about 1 or so and was looking to see if you were online, at least every 30 mins. So I'm wondering if maybe that's why I never saw you because EA wasn't picking it up. |

Well I officially quit the other league I was in so now I'm all yours...
I will probably get on by 11:30 PM EST tonight if not a little sooner if anyone needs to play Chicago. If I'm playing something else don't hesitate to send me a message and I'll switch over. |

I have a Madden league game at 6:30 P.M. Eastern, but I can play any other LA opponents who may be on after that game ends. |
