I'll think about it, but I do enjoy dismantling the super teams with the terrible Kings.

Massive, huge-ass blockbuster trade alert:

Denver Broncos
QB Peyton Manning (90 OVR) -36 - 5 years remaining - $17.0M 2012
TE Jacob Tamme (80 OVR) - 27 - 3 years remaining - $2.5M 2012
CB Tony Carter (69 OVR) - 26 - 1 year remaining - $610K 2012

for:

Cleveland Browns
CB Joe Haden (91 OVR) - 23 - 3 years remaining - $7.67M 2012
QB Brandon Weeden (76 OVR) - 28 - 4 years remaining - $1.65M 2012
TE Alex Smith (71 OVR) - 30 - 1 year remaining - $850K 2012

If the deal goes through, the Broncos will bring the Manning era to a sudden end, showing their faith on rookie Brock Osweiler while also adding a huge piece to their secondary. Cleveland finally finds their QB answer in Manning, while also bringing along one of his favorite receiving options.

Champ+Haden+Porter is pretty dangerous not going to lie. Hope people can run.

My front 7 is no slouch either. If you can get to the safeties though, you'll be fine.

Porter has great ball skills, but he's left a bit to be desired as an outside corner. Moving him to the slot will be nice.

I'm definitely taking a risk moving on from Manning, since he has been good for me so far, but I want to get the ball rolling on developing Osweiler. Weeden rides the pine, where he belongs.

The thing that makes Osweiler such a great Madden project player is that he already has 80 plus in all his accuracies and 95 TP. It really speeds up the development process having such high ratings in the important stuff.

Edit: It's also what makes it so rough for everybody else trying to bring up a lot of young qb's. Most of them are good short acc or deep but rarely middle and both short and deep.

I am not unaware of this.

I've been shopping Manning for a few weeks (as you know, since we talked about him too), so I've been practicing quite a bit with Osweiler. I'm pretty confident that he can play well enough to remain competitive while he's developing (as opposed to being a pure project).

Yeah you're definitely on the lucky side. Skelton is an ok qb prospect, he has the TP but both his medium and deep accuracies arn't up to snuff. Definitely leaves me with some head scratching throws once in a while.

I'm deciding between FIFA and 2k now. Though, I was hoping something great was on the horizon that I could just preorder now with this extra Amazon credit I have--doesn't look like it though.

Is everyone planning to start a 2K13 league? First me, then Cru with fantasy, and now Doomtime. Perhaps we could consolidate our efforts...

Well shoot if you guys want to collaborate, I'm all in. I love this game and I really, REALLY hated 2K12.

I'll make a new thread later today, but I'm still looking at other leagues to see what kind of rules they implement. Sim style ball, fantasy draft, 6 or 7 minute quarters.

Anyone in this league is more than welcome to join when we get set up.

Just played my best game since being in the league. Final score was 31-6 Arizona over Minnesota. I allowed a total of 68 yards and held Blade to -1 yards rushing. The one negative for me in this game was the amount of penalties called on me. I had about 3 giant holding calls called on me, 2 on big 20 yard runs and another that wiped out a long td. I had the unnecessary roughness penalty called on hitting a punt returner as well, but the DB pushed me into him. I didn't expect EA would get that correct.

Stats-
Minnesota Vikings-

Christian Ponder- 13.2 qb rating, 7/18, 79 yards, 0td, 2int(with about 8 dropped)
Adrian Peterson- 11 rushes for 5 yards
John Carlson- 1 rec for 26 yards
Percy Harvin- 3 rec for 23 yards

Arizona Cardinals-

John Skelton- 106.2 qb rating, 7/11, 55 yards, 1td, 0 int, 1 carry for 18 yards
Ryan Williams- 14 attempts, 88 yards and 1 td.
Andre Roberts- 1 rec for 21 yards and a td
Patrick Peterson- 2 tackles and 2 Int, 1 int td.
Larod Stephens-Howling- 1 kick return for 102 yard td.

And Blade i don't want to be blaming you or saying you were trying to be cheap with that squib kick before half, but it came off as very cheesy. The score was 17-3, you had just scored with 3 seconds left in the half. You called a kicking formation, we came out it looked like you were about to kickoff. Then you called timeout and then came out and squibed it toward the sideline, recovered and kick a field goal. Seemed very intentional
