Ok, finally got the free agency "draft" groups together. Just want to give everyone a heads up so they can start thinking about who they want to sign and release. The rules for signing a free agent are as follows:

FA Pickup Rules

1. We will pick up Free Agents from the list in 8 groups (based on inverse standings). I will post a list of the draft order and then allow the first 4 teams a set amount of time to pick. It is first-come first-served based on that order, so team #1 doesn't have preference over team #2 and so on.

I decided to make the groups smaller this year to give the lower ranked teams a fair shot at getting the player they want. However, to make up for this, the amount of time between groups won't be as large. If you miss your "window of exclusivity", of course you can still choose a free agent. But don't be surprised if a team with a better record gets the guy you wanted. It pays to keep up with the thread.

2. Any player currently on the FA wire may be picked up, regardless of positional need. The same restrictions which apply to injury replacements do not apply here.

3. When it is your group's turn, you must post in this thread who you are picking up. Do not just add them in the game. Once you've posted here, you can then add them. If you pick someone up in game, but someone else claimed them here first, they get the player.

4. You must drop a player if your team has 53 players. If for some reason, you have less than 53 players on your team, you will not be required to drop a player, but you may still do so if you would like. With the inclusion of salaries this year, I think forcing a one for one move is less important than in years past. And after the first season, this won't be an issue again anyway.

5. Even if you're not at your console, you can still pick. Claiming someone here saves him for you, even if someone else gets on their 360 first.

ya i was confused how i wasnt in the first group with only 1 win then i checked the standing and holy shit 1 win put me in group 3. theres alot of guys without a loss in the league to go with the guys with none

Close game in Denver! Much closer than the score indicates. The 31st ranked defense really stepped it up today, and it appears my defensive studies have helped. Offense played fairly well.

I really wanted to challenge that 3rd and 1 call in the 1st quarter on the opening drive, definitely thought I got the 1st down with McFadden but pressed A too fast after the play as I tend to do and couldn't pause it once the play was called. Your defense was really good. I chose to receive first knowing you had the top offense in the league so far and second to last defense, thought I needed a quick score to keep pace.

Chargers hold off the Chiefs to win 31-28. Really good game. Before we played I told myself over and over to not throw or force any dumb passes, as I have a terrible habit of doing that. I only threw one pick and it was a dumb forced pass that I knew it was a pick as soon as I threw it. Other then that though, I did pretty good. Cool did a great job shutting down my running game as I really couldn't get anything going. My defense came through though with I think 3 picks. One of them returned for a TD. He really started to get his offense going near the end of the game, which gave me a scare when he scored to put it within three. There was only like 39 seconds or so and I was able to recover the onside kick and run the clock out. Good game.

u guess the first round guys arent very interested in Fa's i know i got my eye on a couple of players but i know one for sure isnt going to be there but i can wish lol

yea im right there with bro i have to spots that desperatly need to be filled and i know exactly who i want to fill them with just need people to hurry up or for N8 to say group 2 go and then wait for my group 3 to start and hope they dont go missing

You can update my availability on the first page. I'm on the East Coast now, for good thankfully. I am available weekdays after 3:45 and weekends at almost anytime(but weekdays are preferred). :p

Luckily I've been able to schedule games with every opponent so far and it's been very nice being able to work it out and play a human opponent.
