Amazon.ca Video Game Clearance

Please don't post any of these deals on RFD. Too many dealers/hoarders. I want these to go to real gamers before it reaches the hands of reselling. Or at the very least let Canadian CAG get first dibs. I'll decide if I should post it over there or not at a later time. STOCK IS LIMITED.

I'm posting primarily PS3 deals:

Street Fighter 4- 5.32 http://www.amazon.ca/Capcom-34009-St...799303&sr=1-82

The one thing I hate about the ICO/SOTC Collection is that our version doesn't have a reversible cover. Now, I already had both original games, but that's what kept the picky gamer in me from picking it up last year. Regardless, very much worth the price.

All those games are TBH. Thanks for posting

I know right? I bought Ico/Sotc with the -$10 Bestbuy coupon last month for 19.99. Was dissapointed not to see inside coverart, but wasn't surprised.

The biggest surprise for me was seeing inside covering for 3D game dot heroes, Starhawk, and Resistance 3. Sony is slowly learning.

I'm picking up each of the collection lines too (all of them feature inside coverart) one of them is at 29.99 which is the god of war saga collection.

When I purchased journey collectors edition and R&C I was so happy and shocked to see the inside coverart, I went out to buy infamous collection the following week.

Gonna pick up god of war saga collection, killzone collection, and resistance collection (despite already owning the games for resistance) just for these inside coverarts.

Call me a fanboy, idc I love inside coverart.

A few PS Vita accessories included as well. A 4GB memory card is $5.60 and a carrying case is $4.40 at the time of posting.

I tried added DMC HD Collection to my cart but $8 shipping just killed it. Thanks for the headsup anyways, and I appreciate you putting us first before the rfd scum =D

I was in shoppers drugmart yesterday and picked up Uncharted 3 for $14.99. Last place I expected to buy a video game I wanted at random, but couldn't beat that price.

With the exception of Twisted Metal, I've lost confidence in Sony's pricing. They drop the price so quickly for everything its ridiculous. All because their PR is terrible, leading to sales below their expectations.

They are great for people who want deals though. I mean they just release collections and collections for gamers to get great games at affordable prices.

Yeah, thanks to a few of those $10 off bonus coupons from Future Shop combined with sale pricing, I've managed to snag the Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Journey collections for $9.99 each. Hard to complain about that!

All the titles I checked have a $5+ shipping charge attached. Better off finding them for $14.99-19.99 in store, you will save money. Thanks for posting!

Yes, but if someone can combine it with a filler or buy multiples it won't be as bad.

Granted, some of those titles can be found the same price at stores (well most of them).

Some highlights were Sly collection/ LBP2:SE. The cheapest you can get by that is by PMing in store at FS or BB. Which is probably the best option.

Some of the deals are pretty much dead since amazon ran outta stock. Not going to update the links, but most of you probably won't get them since the shipping kills the deals. Dark souls and Ico/SotC are out, leaving only a select few games.

Also, somebody posted LBP2:SE on RFD, its for 19.20 and its still in stock so get that while you still can. Or PM it.

I don't think its just Sony. It's the gaming market as a whole. Titles don't hold their value anymore.

Your actually right. I Purchased Journey and R&C collections when they launched for $30 each. Both of them dropped to 20 already (only a month later).

Then there was starhawk that I bought the limited edition of when it launched in may for 60. That dropped to 30/40 at most retailers in a month. Its been on 20 for sale a couple times, and its a matter of time till its in the walmart clearance bin.

Its honestly made me reconsider on a whole, whether or not I should even bother getting select titles when they release. I could hold out a month later and pick it up then.

I'm definitely going to hold outta the Killzone Collection when it comes out on the 23rd till it drops down (After all, most of the collections are already -$10 at futureshop).

[Also, this was posted on RFD but Killzone 3 is .96 at the source. Most hoarders already grabbed them so if your on the way somewhere and have a minute, check out if the source has a copy of killzone 3. For $0.96 theres a deal that won't get any better]

I was really looking forward to ZoE HD collection and Playstation All stars. I guess I could hold out a month or two until it drops down. Buying them at launch makes me feel remorse, especially if its already discounted a month later and especially if I hardly played it.

That's because a lot of these games have already been mentioned on RFD for days now (in a thread called "Amazon.ca 70% off select video games", I think). Plus, you know, limited stock, as stated by OP, because the games are being sold by 3rd party sellers.

I don't buy a game at full price unless I'm going to play it right away. Anything else is just wasted money ... and like you said, remorse. The sooner a person realizes this the better off they'll be.

Nintendo would beg to differ.

The publishers pretty much shoot themselves in the foot by releasing incomplete games. Store exclusive preorder DLC, additional DLC available days or weeks after a game releases, Online Passes... all that brings down the value of games.

EA games are always the first to drop to $40, is it a coincidence considering they started the whole Online Pass trend?
