Just checked my local Sam's Club and they had it for $289.81, and I even had an associate check it on the register.

However, it seems there is reason to check and see if your Sam's is any different. A quick search of bargain-hunting websites yields the tidbit that anything marked for clearance at Sam's Club will have a price tag ending in a digit of 1 ($xxx.x1). So it does look like these may well be set for clearance in the inventory system, and just awaiting an eventual markdown from the individual outlets.

Incidentally, it amazes me that people even bother posting their YMMV finds here anymore, with so much outright hostility in the air. You people shrieking "Photoshop!" for no good reason need to think of the long-term toxic effect this may have, as I wouldn't blame the OP if he never bothered sharing anything with any of you again. I'll certainly be thinking twice if I ever stumble on a deal that might seem a little too good for the skeptics.

Dropped by mine that said there was one in stock for $98. Brought it to CS and she said it was a cancelled item and no longer had it. She just stared at me and said nothing else...I was OK BYE!!! lol Cause I did find the little plackard thing they have out on the floor for the FE bundle but i guess they just havent taken it out. But the price on the card was still ~298 oh wells short trip anyways

So this may have been a singular find. The point I was trying to help folks with is that stores will be slowly cutting the first edition bundles so if you're lucky an your store has stock and no one buys on other markdowns, you have a shot at a lower price point or this one.

Checking online shows none of the Austin/San Marcos area stores have them marked down, all $28x.x1
